I wish Grip-On would enter the "regular" pliers arena.
They'd teach the Germans a thing or three.

The plierwrench is one of the greatest tools ever.
I didn't know about knipex until AFTER I bought a set of channellock pliers, now I have both

I have both as well, I got the channellocks, long before knipex brands were easliy available. now the channellocks stay in my jeep so its all good Just for the benefit of the newbies and because I have nothing else to add, you guys know that it is pronounced kinipeks, right? All the vowels have the short sound, kin like family, i as in is and peks like your peck muscles.
What I hate is how Knipex is divided between Euro and USA markets. There are tools sold in Europe not available for the USA market. And then there is the ugly Blue and Red comfort handles.
Whilst helping my mom stock up on some basic tools due to the fact I am tired of using the misc junk she has when she randomly asks me to complete projects at her house, I noted the Menards has a good variety of basic Knipex tools. Looks like I know what to ask for XMAS!!
You’re gonna wait almost a year to get a few new Knipex? I’d buy a new one every month from now until Xmas......
I have 2 sizes of those water pump pliers. That's it. Had them a long time. They are very good but today I would get the cobras
haha....money goes soooooo many other places I almost feel guilty looking at a $50 pliers. I need to get a new tool box first as I am filled to the brim right now. But now that I know Menards has them, next time I go for garbage bags, I will come out with a $100 bill plus another $50 for Knipex.![]()
