If so, how are they to deal with? Any positive or negative things to say about them?

I believe I bought something from them at one point as I get emails from them, I'm just not sure what I bought.

I placed an order with them once and it will forever be my last. HORRIBLE company to deal with. It seems that they drop ship everything, which is fine, a lot of companies do, but they were slow and unresponsive.

I believe my order was for a coil pack probe for my Picoscope, I even paid the extra $20+ for the expedited shipping. I waited a week...the item never even shipped. I had to call them several times each time being put off by them until they eventually admitted they didn't have the item. The best part was they had charged my credit card up front and the transaction had already posted. They refunded my money but there was a time there that I thought I was going to finally have to file a dispute with my credit card company.

Things may have changed, but that incident left a bad taste in my mouth from them- stay away. I believe if you search for their company name here on the forums there is another post asking the same thing with multiple negative responses such as mine.

All you have to do is Google their name and you will find complaints from people on the Corvette forum to the Vega forum! The parent company is Coastal Tool Supply but also operate under etoolsxxx.com--something like that. There use to be a thread on them under Product and Vendor reviews but it seems to have vanished.

ok, then its not just me. my plan was to place an order 2 weeks ago and have it shipped to me within two weeks before I went back to work.

The order still hasn't been placed because they delay getting back to me after I leave them an email or message. Usually have to call them back to ask them to check their email.

The order was for tools totaling $1000, but I guess they don't really need the money. But I on the other hand needed those tools.

I do use Amazon.COM a lot, I can't use US's prime shipping in Canada so I end up paying $15-20 shipping on single items that are specifically sold by amazon global.

Amazon.CA is picking up too. it's starting to get tools but still only carries maybe 1% of what the US amazon carries. Also they just introduced Amazon Prime in Canada, which is meh because again not enough stuff is sold by amazon themselves.

So that leaves me with a very few retailers online that ship outside of US. Tooltopia, Toolsource and most other online retailers do not ship outside of US.

We don't have many options.

I have used NTX, only because they list some stuff that no one else does. If Tooltopia lists it, that's who you want to deal with.

I am not sure but I get the feeling that NTX stocks little to nothing they list. They take your order and then it seems they wait on 10 others to order that same item; then they order a box from the mfg and you get it in a month. If you are not in a rush, and can't find it anywhere else then they are probably ok...

That's exactly what I think it is. They list a lot of tools on their website but I doubt they stock even 80% of it.

I am trying to order some Knipex stuff about 8 different items and they have none of it in stock. They told me to wait 20 days before they get it from MFG. I asked them to send me whatever they have and they haven't gotten back to me yet. It's been almost 10 days.

I made the mistake of trying to order from them. Won't happen again.

Still didn't get what I ordered and they charged me. When I called they gave me the run around. I called several times, always the same story.

wow...I saw a BOGO deal, I think it was on the HOT DEALS thread maybe, and I ordered the GW long pattern non ratcheting wrenches. Showed up a day or two later than expected. If I had googled or searched and heard these reviews, maybe I would not have ordered from them. I guess I got lucky. Sux when a place has good prices but puts the hurt on customers. Makes me weary to ever order from them again.

I got something from them via ebay (I forget what), wasn't a bad deal... but they put me on their junk email list automatically.

I've placed an order with them two or three times and haven't had a problem so far. Other tools sites are usually priced less and their $250 minimum for free shipping doesn't encourage me. I think the last item I bought from them (May 2012) I had trouble finding elsewhere for the price so I pulled the trigger.

I ordered from one of their sites without knowing anything about them. When the item hadn't shipped for 2 weeks I called them to find out the items were being drop shipped, and that was fine with me. Another week and my items arrived. Then I googled them and read the horror stories.

A lot of companies have the manufacturers drop ship, no overhead and cheaper prices are a benefit. I won't go back though, too much bad press. I got lucky and got my stuff for about $60 cheaper than everywhere else, but if I was in a rush I would have been upset. I just consider myself lucky.

Well I just read this thread and I have ordered from them for quite some time, and I am shocked that it seems no one has good experince with them. I just placed and order for AC machine and a update for my genisys unit. I got a call next day from the customer service rep making sure it was a vaild order, which is actually nice to know that they check. It was shipped the same day and had my tools with in 3 days. I also went back for some Titan tools and spoke to a rep who stated that there do carry about 90% of the tools out of 9 of their warehouse locations and there are some smaller vendors such as knipex and titan they dont stock due to lack of sales, which does make sense to me. Why carry something you don't sell? I would advise anyone to call them and speak to a rep as they will carry you home and tell them Zack Brown sent you, I get point perks! Which give me 10-20% orders when I send them 4-5 people!

Zack

Wait a Minute.. Im Confused.. In a Earlier post it sounded like you where Ntxtools.. Now your Ordering from them.. LOL.. I see know you have changed your story, That above quote was what you initially had typed up.

I was reading some of the reviews on here and wanted to point out that we are a growing business and are working on actively correcting our mistakes. We operate 9 warehouse locations that we share with partner companies, we have been in business for over 22 years. Now as far as lead time on some items our staff is directed to contact any customer that the lead time should exceed 7 days. Now we are not perfect but want to ensure that every customer has a good experience with the company. Our management staff is working on new ways to control and estimate the pending deals or orders that our customers are looking for. However, at times their are items we can not stock due to cost to carry and item that may only sell once a month or quarter. We want to get better and make us your first choice all issues/complaints are reviews weekly with our growing team to ensure mistakes are correct to better serve you the customer. IF you have any issues that have came up we want to make it right. Please feel free to contact us to make any mistake correct as we want to keep earning your business!

I ordered some replacement caster bushings for a service cart, an odd strictly vendor supplied item. They had by far the lowest price, and fair shipping so I added a bunch more stuff to my order. It took months, but I have no reason to think that wasn't entirely due to delays from the distributor.

I would use them again, but not if I was in a rush.

They list a lot of stuff that they can't actually get. I remember inquiring on a few items and the guy responded that he didn't have any of the items on hand.

I got their set of FullPolish SK flare nut sets from eBay. They shipped quickly, but put me on an annoying mailing list. I unsubscribed and decided to not buy from them unless the price was really worth it.

I bought from them just a few weeks ago.

Great customer service when I ordered, fast shipping, and yeah, they put me on their email list just like anyone else does. Their email ads are actually pertinent to things I want.

Now, the shilling post stuff? That's not cool.
