Sunday, July 21: Slight delay at this point. I wanted to prep the front soffit for either a security camera install, or lighting of some sort. Ended up ordering different lights and settled on some flat-panel LED lights, with remote drivers. This simplified wiring, but wasted some time while I waited for parts to arrive. Also, at this point I've started getting metal siding quotes since I had measurements I could rely on.
I bored a hole through the wall assembly, and installed a PVC conduit for the low-voltage wiring, but wasn't yet ready to install the wiring.

So up to this point in time (August 5th) the soffit is all done except the front facia pieces. I'm still using the pump jacks, and had to attach them to the front facia board.
I'm in the process of processing photos taken after this time, hopefully will have them done tomorrow night so I can be fully caught up

Yes... this is a bit excessive but I figured since I started posting photos for each day that I worked, I might as well keep it up.

I find that my thread has become a record of stuff I do and have done.
Often surprised when I see stuff I have completely forgotten about.
Attention to detail is great.

Great to see you posting again with some updates! Things do slow down the process..."scope creep" has definitely affected me with ideas I had and wanted to do along the way. One thing was that I "stuffed" each soffit corner with a Cat 5/6 wire so that someday along the way I could have a security cam.
Sunday, Aug 25: Midway through this project my opinion on our avian friends went sour. They had begun to make holes (just a few) in the foam. It was time to patch the holes. This was a slightly painful process, as on the back wall they had made three holes. All had twigs, but thankfully no eggs, although earlier in the summer I heard chirping coming from one of the holes. Patching was more or less painless, and was fortunate to have leftover foam.
Additionally, installed strapping on the back and put housewrap up as a primary barrier to water entry. The foam had originally been intended to be the WRB (weather resistant barrier), but doubt crept in and since it won't hurt I added it.

Thursday, Aug 29: Siding was delivered! I went with continuous siding, so it's a mix of 10'-20' long pieces. Delivery cost: $25. They are located an hour away. I realize the distributor builds this into their markup, but closer distributors were more expensive on both the siding AND delivery.
Monday, Sept 2: Although I was severly over extended (had been working late at work for two weeks prior), managed to get going on the siding. Since this was the first (really expensive) corner it took me a lot of time to figure it all out. Because of the "elevation" change between sides, I had to make a specifically shaped cut at the top.
Saturday, Sept 7: Just based on my previous "speed", getting half a wall installed in one day isn't too bad, especially since I was cutting the panels with a metal saw by hand (no jig, yet).
Footnote: The housewrap on this wall is a bit sloppy. Future corners/walls are done better.

Tuesday, Sept 10: This was perhaps the hardest part - reworking the upper soffits. I had to take off the old siding, which was in OK condition but obviously in 10-15 years time would have had to be repainted.

Sunday, Sept 15: Progress on this upper area is slow. I decided to hand cut all panels, which may not have been the smartest idea. I also had trouble fitting them in since they slide to the right. But, after numerous cuts (both the siding and me) I got some panels installed. Plus, I'll be trimming around my first window and the instructions the mfg provides are both inadequate and differ from what they recommend on YouTube and over the phone.
