I don't have all the P/Ns close by right now, but can name off all of them.

Top row from left to right:
Kikkerland
Proto
PB Swiss
Craftsman
Copenhagen
Milwaukee
Greenlee
Stanley
Klein

Middle row from left to right:
Wiha
Wera
Felo
Felo
Kobalt
Channellock
Witte Protop II
Witte Maxxpro
Witte Natural

Bottom row from left to right:
Snap On
Snap On
Snap On
Gedore (small keychain one that came with)
Gedore
Craftsman
Unior (top)
Hazet (bottom)

I tried getting a Knipex branded opener, but it's the same as Witte - even though the pictures you find on line show a clear difference in labeling as well as the metal opener design. I even called Knipex to speak with someone who did some searching for me. Maybe there were two versions before the companies joined?

I've seen pictures posted here as well as other places for some neat ones that I can't seen to find. I don't know if any of those are "custom" made at home like you see some of the Snap On versions or if they are legit.

I've seen hammer with the bottle opener head instead of the nail puller, but it seems like more of just a novelty item than one you'd actually use since it's so big.

Here's a dual purpose bottle opener...all Vegas, Jackpot, Kingpin and Hammers are factory equipped. Behind the triangle piece between the "V" of the engine there is a built in bottle opener in the bracket. The story goes in the original prototype stage one of the engineers had the bracket attached to the wall of his garage with a bottle opener attached to it. After a few beers someone else within the company said "why don't we just stamp in an opener from Factory?" So it became somewhat of an inside joke that made it's way onto production vehicles.

Interesting. My neighbor has a Hammer exactly like the one pictured, but of course I've never looked for it. He's never said anything about it either. Probably doesn't know.:D

Then I have one of these:

One of these (doubles as a cap, rubber on the bottom, slides onto bottle):

I had one of these in my wallet until I forgot it was in there and tried to go through TSA for a flight. They offered to let me run it back to my car or ship it to myself at the Post Office in the airport, but I got it for free so I told them to just keep it.

Yeah, got mine from Lagunitas during a trip, but Amazon.com sells them for cheap ($8-10).

Yeah, got this one for a buck. Sharpened the knife part so it is actually useful. I did forget about it and go through security at city hall once. They were nice enough to hold it for me util I was leaving and gave it back.

I wish the TSA a$$holes would have given me the Post Office option when I had to give up my Kershaw Ken Onion a couple of years back

Standby for a dumb question:

OK, here it comes...

What is the purpose of that horizontal slot in the upper end of the handle on the Milwaukee bottle opener shown in Post #260 of this thread? It looks like it may have a small vertical blade in the center of the slot. I'm thinking it may be for cutting string or plastic loop carriers...or maybe it's not a blade at all...

Thanks for the prompt answer. I never thought that someone might want to open a beer AND strip a wire at the same time, And with the same tool! However, after further research on the Milwaukee Tool web site, I find that many of their screwdrivers have this wire stripping feature. Now I want to know where the wire loop bending hole is on my beer opener?

This Kobalt opener actually works really well and feels great in the hand. Keep it in the kitchen drawer actually.

For twist offs, I like the looks I get when I press the cap to my forearm and twist it off.

Now that's cool.
Don't you just love all the stuff that you made way back in high school that you still use.
Have a hack saw, car ramps, vise, and winch that are still in use at age 44.
Kid can't believe that I built all of those items every time we use them.
Goes to show you how smart our old metal/fab teachers were.

I got these for Christmas which I had picked out. I wanted the Cman handled one. I also grabbed the wrench style one since Sears is giving back to fire depts with them and they are both US made.

Show off your bottle openers!

Does anyone have any cool looking bottle openers in their garage or neat mounting ideas. I would like to get one from this site
http://www.bottleopener.com/Made-in-USA-Bottle-Openers/
Anyone have one of their openers. I am going to order one and mount it on my new steel work bench. Just can't figure out which one to get
http://www.bottleopener.com/home.php

And I'm not talking about the typical hand held snap on or craftsman ones that look like a wrench or screwdriver. I wanna see surface mounted ones

Jeeper opened the Zombie thread

No bottles here just cans, but if there are bottles, most are twistoffs.

How many on here use the edge of a counter and knock the top off, or old enough to remember using the car door striker plate.

I've had a few bottles that are supposed to be twist off and are more like skin-offs. Out in the garage, I tend to just use the wall mounted opener when I grab one out of the fridge.

Here's the one in my tool box, a bottle cap opener from 1968 that celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Hazet tool factory...

I picked up a stainless Starr X opener a bit before Christmas. Not nearly as cool as most listed here, but it does the job.
