I've got this one mounted to the side of the fridge in my camper so i'm gonna fit one to my workbench when i build it.

Have a few of the ones pictured throughout, though also had this idea for a bottle opener. Chunky, clean and simple. With a few minutes spare in the workshop I decided to make one using some 1" stainless tubing and solid stock from the scraps bin.

You push it over the lid and it pops it off. A magnet in the opening holds the cap and the mechanism then removes it.

When I was a kid my dad used to pound a large framing nail into the wall, bend it over to the proper angle, mount an empty tin can underneath to catch the bottle caps, that I used to put on my home made scooter. Necessity is still the mother of invention.

If you're married, the best opener is on your left hand. It takes some practice, but then you'll never need another opener.

If you're not married, you can party like a rockstar and just have the bartender open it for you.

Unfortunately mine is gold so I don't really want any nicks on the edge that makes wearing it any more uncomfortable than it already is.
