Jim,
Here is a site I found helpful picking paint colors for my car. gives a pic and the paint codes of gm, PPG, dupont.
It should take you directly to the 2003 Corvette Electron blue codes

That is a labor of love for sure. So that said you paint it what you like. I have restored a bunch of cars in concours classes. I have sold a bunch as well. I tend to think of what a future buyer would be attracted too. I think that car deserves a period correct color. Personally I would not do a blue. I would do a british racing green. It would look period correct till you lift the hood. I also think the resale value would be better. I would also do a camel or dark tan tone interior ( look at Bmw swatches from 98 for something unique, but classy. Something to be said for a sleeper style resto mod. I tend to flip the cars but have had a couple for 25+ years. So I get building something just for you. I have 67 GT500 that I painted white and blue, I hated lime green, but that move de-values the car by about $30k. Yours is a total street rod, so way different, but still like the retro color + BRG is just plain classy on a car like that.
suprised nobody has mentioned the obvious Dodge Viper Blue

I have owned the car since 1971 and it was originally MG green and then repainted a dark metallic green from some 70's GM car. While the green fits the car, I'm done with green. I like the look of the right color red like Ferrari Corsa Rossa but that attracts more attention that I want and makes the gaps more visible. I like some of the muted greens and blue metallics on newer cars but they aren't right for a small roadster. Silver is boring. I like the darker pure blue metallics and they will show off the brightwork well and I may even put a couple silver Shelby stripes on the hood and deck lid if it looks like it needs it. The only thing I don't like about darker colors is that they **** up all the light in the engine compartment and underneath so it's difficult to see the detail in the work so black is out as well as the really dark blues.
