Unless you plan to use tiles or a roll product, there will be stripping or grinding in your future ( not the fun kind either).

So has it been narrowed down that this is from a bad batch or is it just the product in general?

I too am having issues with mine. Black tire marks that don't come off, and oil spills turn the coating yellow. Only until I scrubbed through the coating did the yellow go away. I will send an email Justin.

I poured some oil on my floor last night to see if it will discolor. Results in a day or two.

I pretty much expected the black tire marks, but the oil absorbing into the coating and turning it yellow really upset me. Big unsightly yellow patches isn't ideal in a brand new garage. I need to look at my tire track marks to see if there is any peeling.

My coating was applied using a sprayer and had very light coats. The slab passed the water absorption with flying colors, but the sealer did leave a light film on top of the slab. I assumed the 1st coat soaked in and the 2nd coat left a surface film (for the added gloss I was after).

I haven't really parked hot tires on mine yet, just once and no issues, but I personally don't think it's true heat.

My floor is yellowing under cool wet rubber tires on a garden cart. It's the only real thing that has rubber tires that has been in my garage thus far.

I agree. Only had lifting after first week. Been a couple of months now and never any lifting. Even after parking hot tires and vehicle sitting for a couple days then driving, no lifting. Basically if I don't peel it up, it ain't coming up

I've parked on it with very hot tires and no issues, but if I have damp tires they will leave yellow marks. The only areas that have peeled are those that have been wet.
I'm just waiting to hear from the insurance company now

Did not realize that so many other people were having problems with TLPPC. Mine has a couple yellow marks where I parked a small portable generator for a couple days. The floor has a surface film, and in some spots where it has been scratched or something has stuck to it, such as tape or spray foam, the film is coming off the floor. Sometimes little pieces, but in a couple of areas sheets the size of index cards are coming up. I figured I would have to live with it but I hate to see what this floor will look like in ten years.

In 10 years mine will look awful with yellow marks.

I've sent Justin and the insurance a request for an update with no answer as of yet.

We have the same information, although it was more like we hope maybe we will have something..... Obviously I can't let this just hang out there so we will start 'next steps' the beginning of next week to push this process along or bring it to a close

Last week I was told by Greta that they would have something by the beginning of the week. This has been going on for two months now.

We are stepping up the pressure as much as we can on this. Although we are waiting until next week to bring in some additional assistance on our end, we have started the process of making sure that assistance is in place.

For the sake of everyone involved it is important that we honor the process. That said the process needs a kick in the.... and we have done that. If you would just prefer to resolve this between us we have a couple ways to help but I would wait a little longer.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but I think if it I had purchased the product on my credit card and I was still within 90 days or so of the purchase date, I would be talking to my credit card company about disputing the charge...

Justin seems to be trying to deal with the situation in a responsible manner - but the bottom line is it's your money at stake

A refund is not the issue. If someone simply wants a refund we can certainly deal with that without the hassle of dealing with the credit card company. We are trying to negotiate a better solution.

Obviously we feel that this is something the manufacturer needs to step up on as a manufacturers warranty issue. Clearly they feel it is too and they have enlisted their insurance company to cover some of the costs. My hope here is that for those that are still waiting we are able to negotiate a way to make people whole as opposed to just giving back what was spent.

Jason - I understand what your saying, but most credit card companies limit the time a consumer can file a dispute to 60 days when it appears on your statement or around 90 days max from the date of purchase.

My opinion....is at the very least - filing the dispute would probably insure a full refund of monies paid. It's great that you're trying to do better than that. But what is the old saying - "cash talks and bullsh*t walks"

I would want my money back now and then we can talk about doing better, reimbursements, etc - but that is just my opinion. I can say that I have seen things like this drag on for far too long and then people end up getting screwed and they have no recourse. My motto is better safe than sorry

Also - I would think that this would tend to light some fires under people to get things done in a timely manner

I spoke to my credit card company, I'm good for 120 days, and I'm currently sitting at almost 90.

I'm willing to give Justin a little more time, but if it isn't sorted out by the deadline to file a claim, I'll have to go beyond the manufacturers insurance and use my own.

I think Justin is trying to do what he can, I'm hoping for a solution rather than a refund, at this point.

Again, all anyone who wants a refund has to do is ask. We will issue it as a customer service, no problem. I say as a customer service because manufacturers defects are typically handled by the manufacturer. But they have not fixed the issue so we are happy to do what we can.

How is this a disputable charge situation (just out of interest since I have never had to test the boundaries)?

Chargeback, IMO, would only be a last ditch effort. I'm hoping something is worked out before I ask for a refund.

So what is the manufacturer saying is the issue? Is this something endemic to all the TLPPC out there or was it a specific batch?

We had 0 issues with the first several batches. Even the last batch did not fail for the majority of our customers. The manufacturer right now is not saying much. I think they have gone into CYA mode and all the replies I am getting are from the insurance company.

What I am seeing is their original particle size theory does line up with results...It seems I can put the product down over an unremarkable slab with no issue but when it is applied to a well finished slab it is not penetrating. This is base on a very small and unscientific sampling and is not enough to warranty be drawing any conclusions as to the usability of the product -- or if I will ever bring it back in.

Justin,
Do you happen to know how many people are having issues with this product? I'm just curious.

The best I can do I go back and look at the number of warranty claims. I have 10 submissions. Of those at least 2 were never actually installed, they just wanted to send back

This doesn't explain why it is yellowing as well.
