I suppose we'll have more input now, after a two-and-a-half year hiatus. I'll be the second recent poster.
We did a whole-house renovation to get ready for retirement, We added a second 'en-suite' master bath, a new kitchen, a new bath for the entry from the two-car garage ('dibs!') and gutted/rebuilt two more baths. We are empty-nesters, now retired.
The water heater is a Rinnai tankless gas heater, I love it. The master bath with a walk-in shower has all hans grohe: rain head, wall jets, and hand-held. You can have them all on if you wish, a new service line was installed, so we have the best municipal pressure you're gonna get. The garage entry full bath is also all hans grohe, a rain head, and a hand-held. The other two baths have hans grohe, one has a rain head and a hand-held, the other is a traditional tub/shower, w/a hans grohe wall showerhead. All the sinks are Waterworks, the kitchen too.
The Rinnai tankless means we never run-out of hot water, but I don't sit in there for 30 minutes. Multiple baths and the kitchen can be used simultaneously. Toilet flushing is a non-event to someone in the shower, not the case I recall from my childhood.
I have a Speakman sitting on a shelf, I got it at Habitat for Humanity, "because it's a Speakman," but I don't have anyplace to put it. I soaked it in cleaning vinegar for several days, and hooked it up-to a garden hose, and yes, a great stream.
