Got a quote on one of the smaller ones for our warehouse after i installed three 400k btu gas fired unit heathers. Couldn't believe the price! Very very nice units!
We ended up going with six 60" daton fans in their place.

I was helping a female friend of ours buy a car and the salesman took us on a tour of the facilities. As we walked through the shop I looked up and noted: "that's a big *** fan". He looked up and said "Uh, yeah it is big." Me: "No, it's a Big *** Fan" and pointed out the controller on the column which was clearly labeled as such. This guy lost all composure "HOLY F##K, it IS a Big *** Fan! I thought you were sh#ttn' me!" awkward pause "Oh, uh, I, uh, (composure regained) The customer service reps . . " The look on his face was priceless.

I was interested in getting one of these for my garage, but had no idea they were soo pricey. I guess a mini split is the way to go!

I have one of these "Big *** fans" in my woodshop at work. They are VERY nice if you need airflow in a big room. Yes they are expensive but very high quality.

If it's not impolite to ask, how bad does the power bill hit you heating and cooling that size a building?

Quite all right. $ 4.00 per day.I have 3" insulation all around and roof. No windows. That is the price to run the hvac and all the other stuff in the garage.
If I run 15 days per month it is $ 60 , and that is the max , I set the t stat to 74. I like it cold in there. I dont run any fans.

Wow that's much better than I would have guessed.

Holy moly ! that must be one "Big *** building". I have a 50x40x14 hangar and the 5 ton does a great job.
It's about 100 Ft long and 42 ft wide and has a 27 Ft high ceiling.

my sales rep from BAF called me back today and we went over some stuff as he looked at the pictures I sent him, and will need 2 fans at the least to get good air flow.

now here is the crazy part.. for say having 400 people in a room is where the 10 ton AC unit would come from.. However the building was built in '63 and only has 200A service 120/208V so it looks like AC will be out of the question.

Not sure what you are doing, but 400 persons in 2000 sq/ft is crazy, 5 sq/ft per person, but realistically and area about 24" square per person, Standing room only for sure.

They work on the “high volume, low velocity” idea.
Kind of like a weather mans “light breeze”

It works well, but the problem is making room for huge diameter they sweep!
You have to keep any lights above them, and no hung from the ceiling cords or hoses.

Have they stopped using “Refrigerator Perry” in the ads?
As a Bears fan I was glade to see him get an after football gig.

I redid the measurements including a balcony and came up with this

4,153 sq. ft

Rite Hite Revolution fans are better IMO. Much less strobing due to the fewer blades.

BAF had some fairly common motor failures when i worked on them 5-6 years back.

BAF is about 15 minutes from my house. The best part is seeing the name on the side of the building. It's right in the middle of a bunch of **** stores and gentleman's clubs...
