I'm stuck.. I need a min of a 10 ton A/C unit and most mini splits stop at 5 tons so I'm looking at 2 sets.
Holy moly ! that must be one "Big *** building". I have a 50x40x14 hangar and the 5 ton does a great job.
I will be getting 60" industrial fans for about $70.00 for my shop until I can insulate and install a window unit or 2...those damn things are big *** price.
Where you finding 60" fans for $70?
Sorry, it was $60 for the 56" and $89.95 for the 60". at global industrial.

If it's not impolite to ask, how bad does the power bill hit you heating and cooling that size a building?
Gee I'm kinda dissapointed... I thought this was about fans of big asses!
Quite all right. $ 4.00 per day.I have 3" insulation all around and roof. No windows. That is the price to run the hvac and all the other stuff in the garage.
If I run 15 days per month it is $ 60 , and that is the max , I set the t stat to 74. I like it cold in there. I dont run any fans.
It's about 100 Ft long and 42 ft wide and has a 27 Ft high ceiling.Holy moly ! that must be one "Big *** building". I have a 50x40x14 hangar and the 5 ton does a great job.

my sales rep from BAF called me back today and we went over some stuff as he looked at the pictures I sent him, and will need 2 fans at the least to get good air flow.
now here is the crazy part.. for say having 400 people in a room is where the 10 ton AC unit would come from.. However the building was built in '63 and only has 200A service 120/208V so it looks like AC will be out of the question.
Not sure what you are doing, but 400 persons in 2000 sq/ft is crazy, 5 sq/ft per person, but realistically and area about 24" square per person, Standing room only for sure.
Charles
I redid the measurements including a balcony and came up with this
4,153 sq. ft
When i read the headline i was expecting asses
Damn that fan is huge![]()
