^ That is exactly what I was thinking but I didn't want to say anything. That makes sense.
I was really interested until it got bid up to $30 bucks for the package it was a part of - that kind of took it out of my area of interest.

<edit 11:05 PST> I just ran a Google search for "vintage pasta cutter" and I believe you nailed it. I don't know how to make my own pasta, so I guess it was no great loss I didn't win the auction. :sneaky:
