I still mostly use my old Jackson fixed shade helmet, but my son and wife bought me the Miller Elite auto helmet about 15 years or so ago. I used it only occasionally, especially when under chassis work because flipping the fixed shade helmet down was very cumbersome in tight spaces. A couple of years ago I upgraded myself to the Lincoln auto helmet and have been slowly transitioning to using it more and more as I kind of like it.

For really tight places, Miller makes a set of goggles with a facemask that works pretty well. I don't use it very often, but when in very tight places it is a gamechanger as it fits the face quite snugly.

Mike that was gonna be my next step, cause i had concerns this would limit me yhe same way. But having the light positioned in a space that no matter what I did i wouldn't block and make a shadow or have it shining in the backside of the helmet solved a majority of my problems. It was just not a fun space to work in and being on a loft wouldn't have made it better either. A rotisserie would have, but why invest in that at this stage?

The cost of this helmet was juat so inexpensive for the perceived gains I took a chance and it paid off.
