Picked up a quick connect fork lift attachment for the tractor. I had forks that attached to the bucket but they were kind of sketch, so this will be alot better. It will also give me the ability to move around the trailers faster. We always volunteer and put on hay rides for all the kids at our church for the trunk or treat fall event so I got the 3 point hitch for the back too.

I made it out the the shop after the kids went to bed and had all intentions of starting some shelves that my wife wants in our master bath. I went the pull out my tape, pencil, etc and thought to myself these drawers could be better organized. So, let's not lie, several beers, 78 drawers and a hardware rack later.....here is just a small sampling of my evening. Maybe tomorrow I'll start those shelves 😜

Got the shelves cut down to length and since the saw was already out and making a mess I cut all my scraps into 4x4 squares to make some coaster sets for Christmas. I'll figure out a way to attach them together and make little stands for all the coasters out the tongues I ripped off.

I've also been putting together a diesel fuel station for the tractor hauling trailer. My container rack hasn't arrived yet.

Sure thing.

The pallet attachment goes in the front, it replaces the bucket. The little 3point hitch goes in the rear. But the pallet attached also has a standard receiver in it. They are from "Titan"

I still need to dig out all my chains and tensioners, what ever you want to call them, but got the box mostly loaded up for tomorrow. Have to go pick up and move a forklift. Gonna swing by and grab some 2x10 or 2x12 whatever they have available in the scrap bin just in case we need some extra ramp length.

The forks are by far my favorite upgrade for the tractor. I use them all the time.

I previously just had the fork arms that screwed to the front edge of the bucket. Sometimes those were a little sketchy, so I am excited to have the back plate and "real" forks.

Today was an interesting day to say the least. I ended up having to go grab a forklift from a client, which I then had sold via a few phone calls before I even got home, so just dropped it off on the way past lol. But, also ended up with about 15,000 golf balls...this is gonna be a little harder to liquidate. It started out as about 60,000 balls but we sold all but these 50 boxes while we were cleaning out their warehouse. So these are the spoils that I will have to work on now.

15,000 golf balls? That's enough for 18 holes for me! :ROFLMAO:

Beautiful shop; do you happen to have floorplan you could post to get a feel for the layout?

Found a few more clamps around to add to my rack. I also added an extra exterior weatherstrip kit to the shop door. I forgot to take pics but you could see a little daylight between the door and the frame so I know I was losing A/C. Seals a lot better now.

Not so much shop related but a lot of random goes on around here 😂. My wife ended up bringing home 35 chicks today. These are all meat chicks, not layers, so we will have a very full freezer in a few months. Guess some a-hole (sorry don't know another way to put it) abandoned his order of 100 baby chicks at the post office and these were the last of them. So my wife of course brought them all home.

I've been reading along for a bit but had to respond to the chicks. You do tend to (find) things, I have been trying to get back into raising chickens, I built a coop last year but the wife (a real country girl) is getting squeamish on me. Good luck with your birds. Remember dont give a name to something you may have to eat.

We currently have about:
Chickens: 75/80?
Turkeys: 10
Ducks: 5
Goats: 9

The goats and ducks are my kids "pets" so they are safe lol. The chickens and turkeys are raised for meat and or eggs. We get turkey and duck eggs too. Turkey eggs are good for baking, I don't know why that's just what my wife says. All of our a animals have names and it doesn't effect the taste 🤣.

Common question I got from the "city kids" in college was if we named the animals on our farm...

I would say of course we named them.... we had bacon, pork chop, get off my foot, stop eating my knee, no you go over there.... they didn't think it was as funny as the farm kids did! I went to college an hour away from home and took a few friends back for a day trip here and there and they understood livestock a bit better after following around doing chores...

Good luck with the birds! With egg prices as they are you can start to barter eggs for gas or 2x4's!

Boy that would be great! With diesel up to almost $6 a gallon, that's a $300 fill up, ouch.

That's about how my yard would look 😂

My wife was a actually just showing me a cow for sale on some local Facebook group the other day.

I don't do Facebook so she's always shows me random stuff. She forgets I have a collecting habit and some things I'll admit I've gone and picked up haha.

Nice egg haul, I used to trade eggs for lots of stuff, mostly veggies.
I have a guy that wants to give me some quail, I think I may try raising them for a change.

Thanks. During peak production time of the year we about 30+ a day.

Oh yes the old egg barter system. We use that as well. Eggs are also good tips/gifts. Someone comes over to help out or just hang out....oh hey don't leave without eggs, and give them 3/4 dozen, everyone loves that.

My brother hunts quail, we've never raised them but he says they are tasty.
