Hey now!.

We have four seasons. Nice, ya its warm, hot................. and F me to tears.

And with this weekend slated to be at FMTT level, I'd hate to see B make a hasty decision. :dunno:

Haha that's funny.

I always laugh at weather men here. Gotta decide between hot or hot with scattered clouds, what a gig 🤣

This has been a long time coming kinda of decision, we've just never said it out loud. It's not the weather, it's not really even one thing in particular. In AZ we are fast, loud and balls to the wall with pretty much everything in life. Kids schedules, work load, etc. I just can't see us realistically being able to throttle down where we are at without an outside force causing it. I love AZ don't get me wrong, it's just we are starting to outgrow our "lifestyle" and want less.......if that makes any sort of sense.

A decision has not been reached and probably won't for the foreseeable future. It's something that has been on my heart and mind and weighing on me and I needed an outlet that wasn't a "friend" (you guys are friends but you know what I mean) or a family member to make mad/sad yet.

I don't know how to best describe my feelings, never been good at that lol. There is just something pulling me in a sense and I don't know why or what it means.

Clearly there is a lot of angst going on about your future. I think you have to do what is best for your mental and physical state. When you figure that out, it will likely be down the road once all the information you are gathering about the future crystalizes in your head or comes out of your spouse's mouth..... :ROFLMAO:

She's already agreeable. She's the spontaneous one and I'm the analytical one. Lots of number crunching and things flying around in my head 🤯

Gotta figure out what to do with certain pieces of real estate and being self employed with 4 full time employees we have giant business decisions to make that don't effect just our family but 5 families.

The girls signed up for a "craft fair/farmers market" kind of deal, so they have been making friendship bracelets and necklaces etc etc like crazy. My wife ordered a bunch of paint kits and clear bags to package up some take home crafts. Tonight was spend just mindlessly (which is sometimes needed) cutting shapes on the band saw for their craft bags. They will bag up a little paint set, brush, shape and a hand written thank you note to sell at their little booth. Several more to go but making progress.

Well...good news from the vet. Hank is currently driving on the recovery road. His bone showed signs of healing, the meds seem to be working. Have to stay on the meds for a year and unless anything notable changes we will x-ray again in a year to see how that bone looks. He is back to his rascal self, running, jumping, howling, all his normal shenanigans. With an initial scare of possible bone cancer and a 9 month expectancy, I was totally stoked to physically see the change (on the x-rays). We got a vet friend involved in his case and he has done the last to visits/checkups personally and that has been a big piece of mind.

My daughter got it for her birthday and has been begging to try it!!

The syrup was terrible!! My wife is gonna make some homemade syrup for the next time we use it.

Playing catch up here

Good luck on the decision on what to do....given your business interests it's obviously a lot more complicated! Maybe you become snowbirds early on in life and you abandon AZ just before the "F me to tears" season then come back about November :). I'm sure Indiana needs more people in your line of work as well!

Great news on the doggo...Hank does look happier and great to hear is on the recovery path!

The bandsaw projects are looking good! I'm in the "great project for CNC router" camp....but then again mine is half put together and my laser is only slightly more ahead in the functionality category....so yeah....

On the biscuit joiner...looker like FF's are a Porter Cable size vs a standard. I've never used that Makita joiner, but dropping the blade diameter that much is probably going to lead to depth issues of not having enough stroke to get a 2" blade into the wood. Some posts online seem to indicate that shortening up the depth can work, just leaves a longer than required cut. Other option would be a router bit(sometimes called a slot cutting bit) to cut the biscuits with. May take a bit of playing to get a nice fit with the FF size....but that's half the fun right?

NICE! I've been wanting to do something in my garage, the anker bluetooth speaker isnt cutting it

Here is the speaker I am using. It hits pretty hard. It was one I was using with our TV for a long time until I upgraded to legit surround sound.

It's big. It's like 4ft long and heavy!

Check him out, good stuff.

He's in the Tyler Childers like of genre......

Haha...no clue who this Tyler is either 🤷‍♂️ ...did he ever do anything with Waylon Jennings(I kid, kind of)?

(admittedly I'm not a "new music" kind of guy, there is some okay stuff out there, but most of it is too "poppy" for me)

I do know about Chris Stapleton, however, and enjoy most of his discography.

Question / Advice / Comments from the peanut gallery.....

We have a rental property up for sale. There is currently a tenant in place and an open house scheduled for this weekend. Saturday and Sunday from 10-4. They have been texting my wife saying they have no where to go and we need to get them a "not crappy (their words) hotel room for both days or else they won't have anywhere to go and won't leave.

They have been provided way more then the required 24 hr notice by the lease agreement for access. They have known about the sale and we're cordial for the walkthrough and photos etc.

I get the feeling they are now just going to start hindering the process by being uncooperative. What would you do / say ?

My wife is much nicer than me in situations like this so I don't want to piss her off either, but it's solely a financial decision that is best for us, it really has nothing to do with the tenant. Should we be overly accommodating here or just play hard ball.

Get’m a room, get it sold and be thankful you live in a state that will back you up with escorting then out the door if you have to unfortunately go down that road. I hope it doesn’t go down like that bud, but it does sound like the potential is there.

Good luck.

Hotel? No way. Maybe some tickets to a couple of movies. Oppenheimer is 3 hours long. Maybe Barbie.

Business wise...its cheaper to pay them to buy their cooperation as irritating as it may be. And as much as it pains....having them a hotel room on Friday and Saturday night dramatically decreases the liklihood of them causing issues for the showings. The amount of damage they could do far outweighs the cost of being overly nice and basically buying their cooperation. I'd see about getting the funds on a prepaid visa or hotel gift card instead of securing it with your work card....helps cap the risk if they go crazy on room service....but this only works if you know they have a credit card...

Sunday afternoon....yeah not sure there...late checkout probably only gets it to noon...long martini/mimosa lunch/brunch? But hopefully you've already accepted an offer from Saturday so it's less important and backup offers only

And how the hell have your kids been in school 5 days already? They start here on Thursday and I think that's early!

Never thought of the gift card to eliminate potential abuse issues. Maybe I'll have my wife drop them off a gift card and they can go to the movies, go to the water park, whatever their fancy is. They have dogs so they have to go home at night, so it's really just a matter of "what do we do all day". Which is as annoying as it is I see your points and all very valid. We just finished a remodel and I don't want them to start wrecking stuff.

Do you need to accommodate the dogs? Or, are you just going to have them there while the open house is on? That sounds like an issue.
