I'm hoping the excitement will be enough of a distraction to thin out the garage toy collection a bit. Like I don't know how we have more bikes than kids

Oh man that stinks
. My wife is worse than I am. If they haven't touched it in a few weeks she's jonesing! They have accumulated so much junk. We started telling family that for holidays to buy them experiences not things. So they get things like zoo tickets, aquarium tickets, a coupon for a special camping trip with Nana and Pops, stuff we can go do as a family, not just more stuff to have.

My girls love painting. They will paint anything. They have each accumulated a large collection of painted pottery. It's time to get it all off their dresser, I can't even see the top anymore. I had some left over oak so I am making them each a shelf to put their art on.
These will be like floating shelf style.

When I was in 8th grade metal shop I saw the most amazing thing. To turn on the drill press you had to push a start button with the drill chuck key thru a hole that only the chuck key fit into. It was the safest thing in the whole shop, no chuck keys flying around the shop!

First use of the bouncy at the Boosting compound. It only took scraping all the rocks, trip to the store for a tarp, moving and setting up a 400# house by myself.........it's for the kids right

I had a hot (108dg) day of dragging the bouncy out and putting it back away. Thank God for the forklift, it's about 500# probably.

Got some banana trees to add to the "orchard".
Now I just need to get them planted and irrigation run.
This brings us to:
Apples (2 kinds), Oranges (2 kinds), Lemons, Limes, Peaches, Pears, Pomegranates, Apricots, Grapefruit, Guava, Blackberries, Strawberries.
Then the garden is on rotation, the wife planted a bunch yesterday. Not sure what all.

I've got some bigger projects coming up. The neighbor wants a barn door built and installed on a bathroom as soon as my buddy finishes painting their house. Another friend wants a kitchen table and the wife wants an entry way remodel to include some backpack/school storage for when the kids walk on the door.
Looks like I'll be busy for a while. Can't complain about shop time.

Happy Day!
Glad to report that after a meeting this morning and some greenbacks changing hands, we were able to "buy" our tenants out of the lease. The lease has been terminated effective immediately and they are moving. Now the house will be empty for proper showings and I am confident we can get under contract faster and under better terms.

Great work! Cash for keys, though at times painful in the moment is generally financially better and faster for the landlord....or so everything I've read/heard says...no personal experience just hear about it a fair amount for work

The realtor believes (which I don't doubt, it was a tough situation), that she can do her job, bigger, stronger, faster, more effectively not working inside the constraints of a lease, which limits most end users out of the buying pool. So her offer was, I'll escrow credit you back a portion of my commission if you can get them to leave as in doing so I believe I can get us a better offer which offsets that a bit on my side too. Quick little 1-1/2 day junk removal job. 40 yard, filled in about 10 hours.
Now just have to keep the tweakers away long enough so they don't take everything back out of the dumpster until it gets picked up. They literally come while onsite and hunt and throw stuff back out into the yard right in front of you while your are working.

The kids are at church tonight. Awana has started up for the year again, so I have free!!! Wednesday nights. 
I got the brackets hung for the girls shelves. Used the old tape cup method so I didn't have to clean drywall dust.
I just need one more coat of sealer on the shelves and they will be good enough for government work

Doesn’t 115 degrees slow the tweekers down? On one of my rentals had to evict tenants June 1st, then rebuild began. Had new tenants ready to move in August 1st, but evicted tenants son had better idea. He and his girlfriend decided to toss a rock thru a window (that had just been replaced cuz he and his fellow spore thought it was a good idea to remove it so their dogs could jump thru it as a “Dog Window”!) and then go on a 3 day drunk, pizza boxes and vomit included! Right on the brand new carpet that had to be installed cuz of the wonderful treatment it received from when his family lived there! I get the call around 10:00 from the local police the Friday night before the first. Thankfully my property manager is awesome, and everything is made ok and tenants move in on the 1st. I’m just a few thousand poorer, good thing I’m a rich landlord! LOL!!!

In my experience, nothing slows a tweaker down. They are the closest thing you'll ever meet to a zombie

I've got some orange ones too. I'm not biased lol.
My Yellows get mostly used in in the shop and outside and they take a beating!
I like the M12 reds for in the house and on my assembly bench because they are small and lightweight.

Well it starts with marrying someone who loves mornings about as much as vampires love sunlight and garlic....
Ok maybe that's a bit strong...but only a bit!
We worked hard on sleep training both of ours(which makes this easier only managing 2 vs your 4) when they were newborns so they've slept through the night since 6 or 8 weeks old. Weekdays they get up about 6:45 and we're usually on the way to daycare around 7:15 or so, weekends I may try and enjoy a bit more quiet time before I awake the ravenous horde....so it may be 7:15 in which case they're both usually awake but not out of bed. The older one occasionally wakes up 15 or 20 minutes early and will turn on a light and read a book in her bed....the younger one...well he's still in a crib but he just lays there or rolls around but is quiet and doesn't holler. We have gotten to the point where we encourage the 4.5 yr old to set out her clothes the night before so if she does get up early she can easily get dressed and avoids that potential battle of indecision and "I don't want that one"
So in short....for our limited experience it really seems to be driven by the sleep training. They go to bed on schedule(generally without issue), stay asleep all night and know when it's time to wake. Right now the daughter knows if she wakes up and it isn't light outside she should go back to bed....going to have to do something more about December when it'll be dark going to school!
