What material for the replacement casters did you choose? Poly doesnt look to be a worthy material for my lista cabinet that I want to add to a currently non rolling unit.

velocipede - Would you please look at your damaged casters and tell the COO Country of Origin ?Or any info stamped on them.Thank you, VERY curious.Marc

Thanks for the info. Im 34 and always try to plan ahead and educate myself on topics such as this. I hope to be still in the garage at 77, that sounds amazing!I went with poly(I assume it's poly?) replacements. For my big bench, I had a spare set of 5" swivel casters with good bearings and zirck fittings, so just went with what I had on hand to save money. The r cabinet had 3" poly swivel/braking casters from Woodcraft (Taiwan) and I was able to find replacement wheels for those at less than the cost of new casters, so I went with poly for those too. Why? I'm 77...if I outlive these, I will gladly replace them

Marc, Those casters went to the scrapper across the street, but they came from Northern Tool, so they were probably from Taiwan (15+ years old) or maybe mainland China. I couldn't find a COO on the ones I replaced them with, but while I was out there looking, guess what I found on my Performax 22-44+ sander...all four casters!

Good info, will scour ebay once I get the right size. Im in no rush when it comes to finding quality at a lower cost.Seriously Guys, Casters are among the stupidest things to buy non USA.
But your'e gonna say "The USA made ones are 5x the money" cuz the dang china ones are SOOOOO damn cheap.
NOT if you do what I said on Ebay.
Marc
I noticed the link you posted is giving a 404 error. Here is the updated URL Link to this same product from CasterHQ. https://www.casterhq.com/5-Total-Lock-Stem-Caster-p/hq1550s-ts2-tp-set.htm
Poly wheels will disintegrate after 10-15 years and you will have to replace them. Every tool/bench/storage cabinet in my shop is on wheels. I've had to replace them all. Typical damage:
