Got sidetracked on some home repairs. Wife’s been wanting a hand sprayer for the guest bathroom. Well installing it was non-eventful.

The tub spout needed changing, old one came off easy, new should thread right on, right? Ha.

We just bought the generic one size fit all until we can find a better matching one, have gust coming over and she wanted both up. Based on the guest that are coming over, a pvc thread cap with holes drilled in it would of worked fine.

Back to spout, it comes with different threaded inserts, plastic of course, and the one I needed the threads were of when piece was molded.

Anyway, I was under pressure from wife to test showerhead and asked if there’s anything in that shop of mine that would allow that.

Of course there was.

I figured I’d find some use for the misc stainless fittings I had!

I’ll have Shorty and Andrew heading in tonight, Gerard will come to either straighten or sober us up on Sat.

It’s great timing their visit is the same time I’m ready to do some heavy duty moving stuff around, imagine that!

It’s always great to have these guys in real time just for the simple point and discussion of the shop and stuff. I really look forward to the fun time.

But before any work starts and to show I care about my guests, we’ll have a quick tailgate safety meeting, cause my shop is a hazard right now.

I did come across a fitting safety topic:

7d281cb09bd129735de3085a603db8f9.jpg

I couldn’t find anything on the Florida open toe safety shoes though. I have steel toes, shorty, please don’t get in front of any rolling stock!

We’ll report back in.

Craig, thanks for the Utility Knife Safety lesson. It's a little late for me. I was trimming plastic on a bumper cover and apparently my body leaning against it was wrong. I should have learned after the first and second slip but because there was no arterial spurting I carried on (broke my rule about second blood).

Dang, wish I could posted earlier. This is a grinder option. Lol.

We are not allowed to carry pocket knives at work!

I guess if too many more finger injuries, the hammers will be next!

Your clever new spout is artistic enough to start a trend. Wait until you picture gets picked up and slapped in Pinterest. And speaking of images, I found you a picture of suitable Florida safety shoes.

Jim, if there’s safety shoes like those in my shop, particularly on feet like those, would likley cause me harm inflicted on me by my wife.”:lol_hitti

But do the feet come with them. I nice shop helper would be beneficial.

Well I couldn’t find any non-Florida safety shoes the were comfortable so I’m relegated to floating in Craig’s pool, drinking mai tais in my finest swim wear. After Craig’s eyes stopped burning, he suggested I where my suit to the sale today. I’m ready to buy some tools. 3c9c0896176fe72cbcfd657e3ad6608b.jpg

Ok, I’m setting a rule.

Rule no. 1- when quoting Shortys post, DO NOT include the picture in the quote.:shocking:

That should keep people away from us at the sale.

Safety officer at work. Notice the face shield, guard on the grinder and Shorty's Florida safety shoes. LOL7e995f1ef1983d276c2ccd782cf3bfa4.jpg93e0f9a73fa7e27ff4d8bf3f7da0c43d.jpg

OK... now this is what we were really expecting to see...Andrew with the expression on his face of “how in the hell did I get mixed up with these guys???”

And this pic... this is deserving of a caption contest.... I will buy a GJ T-Shirt for the winner of the best caption! Shorty of course is the judge!

Well we got a lot done ie: emptied a lot of beer bottles.
But in between all the emptying of bottles, we moved some iron and not a single drop of blood or smashed toe.

I’d like to thank the crew, Shorty, Gerard and Three Bay came by to hang out and we put him to work also. And Andrew for showing me some things about the lathe.

We had a great time.

Here’s the first mug shot:
36e663bbdcdc6f01ba1cb594176ce435.jpg
That’s not beer soaking out shirts, it’s the almost fall weather in Florida.

We moved the All the Vidmars in the first area of the shop.
1deec6cc2efec44816dd4ae9d77ac439.jpg
The maple top bench is in its final spot.
8f0bd7fa19c08a0cdd2f27410a85cbcc.jpg
(It’s the thing just beyond the red drill press that’s under about a foot of stuff.

So, huge progress today. I can move around pretty good. I just need to find tune placement of the table saw and another cabinet and this side is set.

This is a picture of Gerard reading a “ don’t you dare bring home one of those giant cabinets from Craig’s “ text from hiss wife.

G made the mistake of handing his phone over to me so I could punch in the WiFi password in the house. Well, I could pass up a opportunity like this, so I texted his wife a picture of one of the Listas asking could I please bring home.

Tomorrow I get to practice some welding on Gs truck!

Hey I had a great time hanging out at the shop and meeting Shorty and Taumac over the past two days! Good times, good laughs, a little work rearranging. The new building looks great and I think the shop layout is looking good. Very impressive all the nice storage, not to mention everything else. I hope CB’s progress will help me get motivated.

Edit: Craptain, sorry i missed meeting ya this time, hopefully the next time around.

Yes always great times when we can get together. It’s was good when can work as a team. It took Shorty poking Craig to get him moving.

After Craig got moving Shorty resumed his normal “working” position.

I remember them getting real quite.

I didn't really want to turn my back to these guys, but had no choice as the cab casters needed an alignment fix. You see Shorty is use to doing these sort of things, he stays out of the line of fire from size 13 steel toe boots, which is a must around them.:lol_hitti:lol_hitti
