Shorty, we’re going to start thinking your one of those news agencies that only report half of the story.:lol_hitti
IMG_7505.jpg

The pink girly drinks are for the wife. She don’t do beer much anymore and I have them out there so there’s a cold adult beverage for her after she finishes mowing, running the weed eater and chainsaw!

Pink not manly? So you guys telling me you don’t have pink underwear?:shocking::lol_hitti:beer:

Duker, after we were slammed by Irma couple years ago, our son brought his generator down to us. Same exact one that I have. He sell them, so I got a 15 hr unit from the next batch he bought.

It’s rated 10kw, but will consistently put out 13, it’s a military unit, so it’s under rated and overbuilt.

It ran the AC, fans, both well pumps, microwave, washed clothes, used the range top, 3 refrigerators.

I’d turn on the water heater, but would shut down a pump just to make sure I did t have too much surge at same time, and I don’t think I had to.

Iirc, it burned just under .6 gallon per hour.

Thanks for stopping by guys.

Craig, you got me! I didn't buy pink underwear, I just threw a new red Tee shirt in the washing machine with the tidy whities. Apparently that's not a good thing, according to the master of the universe.

See! A member that is widely known and respected here has pinkish tidys!:lol_hitti

Thanks for stopping in Bob. Watch out for the cobwebs.

Man I love this place. I posted on engine related work and in less than 24 hours we’re talking about pink underwear.:shocking::lol_hitti:lol_hitti

Well heres one for you, I went back on my thread to date something I thought was there and ended up reading my own thread, I’m almost done. It’s amazing what I’ve forgotten about.:lol_hitti . It’s about as good as when I find a bag full of stuff I bought at a estate sale and completely forgot buying it.

One thing for sure, a lot of good times in the shop and with all of you that have taking the time to post on the thread!!!!!

What happened to the 53" X 1-3/4" round steel plate that you stored near the mill, it didn't have a hole in it? Or is the one with the hole something you didn't tell us about acquiring?:lol_hitti

I like pink fruity drinks.

Hey Strouty, the hard lemonade are pretty good, I think some guys just jealous.
Good to hear from you, I’ve been stalking your thread, I’ll make a showing soon.

John, you guys don’t miss much! There is two, one with a hole and one without. My latest plan is to build a table using the plate with the hole, figured it’d give me some more clamping area and I won’t be able to stack stuff in the center!
Thanks for stopping in.

Well here’s a considerable change related the the shop.

I sold my Mega-Cab yesterday, had it for just under 14 years.
647116b101ed11413f058761ec5d9c03.jpg5ab3b8e41199ade9b2ca41a0a11ba865.jpg

I say it’s related because I’ve brought home to the shop a LOT of stuff over those years.

My first tall Vidmar cab, all kinds of scrap steel I’ve built with, including the structure for the porch.

Carried A few more vids and Listas.

But mostly too many to count trips to estate sales, some just a few items, some filling the whole truck inside and out.

The back seat was the best, i didn’t have to unload right away, sometimes maybe a couple sales worth of stuff was in there. I carried all the drawers, full, of the 45” Vidmar in the back when the seat was out.

Gallons of beer!

Numerous trips to meets and Hooters and more beer.

Anyway, it was a good truck, main issue was AC, not one of Dodge’s strengths.

Was chatting with a member and got to talking about how this truck was a Ho mobile.

Even took some cabs away.

One of the many back seat hauls.

Questionable late night exchanges.

And another set of Vidmars.

A chapter of my shop.
Thanks

Great hauling photos of the truck. What's taking its place? Or did I miss that post? I doubt you settled for something compact. :)

No, you didn’t miss anything, I can’t post on the new estate sale hauler cause then you’ll know it’s me at the sales!

Here’s the new one, it’s compact compared to the old one, but it’ll have to do!
3f266c5020c8e480b76a004735373375.jpg
The new one is about 13” shorter on the cab length. Bed is the same. I could of bought a crew cab verses quad cab, but not many crews had a 6’4” bed.

I’m about done buying anyway, don’t expect to really buy much more. Really.

Some more stuff for shop.
Picked up two mobile bases today.
IMG_7899.jpgIMG_7897.jpg

A manufacturer in the US too! Never came across before.
IMG_7898.jpg

These will be used on a couple of my shop machines, just don’t know which yet.

They have threaded stops on the two straight wheels, which means I’ll have to bend over to set and unset.

I have two other bases that have the flip caster that sets one end of frame on floor, I’ll definitely will use one on table saw and whatever other tool I move around more.

I may shorten one to mount the drill press on.

Oh, the best part, they were free.

It was a FB MP post, messaged earlier in week, but it was a hour away.
He agreed to hold and said if I’m coming that far he would just give them to me as he said no one wanted. Couldn’t give them away!
Until I showed up!

Caught a rat in the shop!!!!
Not the drooling over my cabs type rat!
My shop partner Cami caught one when opening up the shop yesterday.
There’s been evidence of one a while back, and we spotted one up by the top of roll up door. Cami sits and waits for me to open door everyday and I didn’t think I still had one l, she evidently knew better.
ef5f09101b3c81080389507f4382d64a.jpg
So she got two beef sticks for her good work.
Just working on getting stuff put away from a couple of projects.

Picked up a flat steel dolly with some US made casters and a shop built welding cart from a sale yesterday.
a747b929bd9b5df456e12f66d78d9545.jpg
The cart will be for the plasma cutter.

I told my wife it’s for the chlorine jugs.
f98cb809a94c829975e87c33430d26a4.jpg

With the cart was two acetylene bottle and turbo torches. One torch even works. So now I have four torches, one works!! I’m thinking the air intakes are clogged, as I can’t get past just a low flame.

You dirty rat. That thing is Ratzilla. I think you could make a bull whip out of that tail.
Cart will make plasma easier to put in use.

Nice new ride Craig, good luck with it.

I did make it to that sale you sent me to. Mostly high priced junk but I did find a new pair if USA made Channel Locks for $5.

Thanks for the tip.

Thanks for stopping in Mac.

I’m enjoying the new ride. In comparison, the old one still rode pretty good, but I just needed something newer.

Welcome to the Florida Chapter of being enabled.:lol_hitti

I’ve done pretty good over the years of getting you guys to drag stuff home.

Done buying? Really? I'll believe it when I see. (Or should I say, when I DON'T see it) LOL.

Seriously though, nice truck Craig. I'm always amazed at all the technology they are packing into the new vehicles. My 6 year old Avalanche almost seems like a dinosaur already. Wishing you another 14 years with the new ride!

Thanks for stopping by Mark.

I really haven't been out Buying up the world, just particular items needed to fill in holes for the machines mainly. I’ve sold more this year than I’ve bought!

Still watch the listings for sure though and will hit anything that looks like a great place to pick, just won’t be the back of the pickup full.:lol_hitti
I mean, if I buy another c clamp or ball pein hammer, it should be used to tighten it n my head and then hit with the hammer. :lol_hitti

Look forward to another long time with the truck.

Little addition to the shop.

I’ve been keeping a eye open for a commercial style sink to place on the concrete next to the shop.

I come across this yesterday, this is the Market Place photo.
e00813200445db8a83eefe467c41b1e4.jpg
LOL, I just noticed the pink razor on it. Glad he kept that!

So, it was a one of those sales, he wanted me to send a deposit through cash app, which is a no go cause only way to fund is by using debit card, then it was pay through friends PayPal, this is last night, I told him I’d just come by on the way to work.
Then I get a text “I’ll bring to you” fine, I met at a store and picked up.
9a5374e6a2e3d7b0b4f2a34746631384.jpg
The one thing I liked the most is the sprayer.
55b93469214e2f9de2ba32d07438826e.jpg

So here it is close to its future home. It’ll go against the wall under the window.
02b02c5637e6d2326e8c12c615520717.jpg
I’ll use a piece of alum plate or expanded metal to sit on top one side of the sink compartments to be a work area/ wash parts off, etc.
4398b0711684adcfd47c094a9086cbe2.jpg

I have water right there and I’ll connect to the drains I ran for the gutters last year. I’ll use to wash off after evaporust and e tank soaks. It’ll be handy just for general washing whatever.

One more step to getting the plan done.

Very nice sink. You will wonder what you ever did without it! Love those sprayers... takes me way back to my dishwashing jobs as a teenager.

Craig nice score on the shop sink! That’s a nice size, most of the ones I have seen are double or triple sinks with extra counter space that eat up too much room.

Hey Duker, good to hear from you.

Thanks for the comments on the sink guys.

I almost bought a 8’ dishwasher counter, and I would had to fabbed a drain of sorts to make it work. Then I came across these smaller sinks with a short counter, those would of been great. But this one really sparked the interest and the spray nozzle sealed it for me.

And, just make a couple simple connections and it’s in use. I’m trying to stay away from buying projects for a while.
