Judging from the size and spacing of the attic floor framing, I would not put anything up there. It is WAY too long a span for the size of lumber, or so it looks from the picture. You will be lucky if it supports its own weight for long. I would not park one of my collector cars under it. Please tell me that there is something structural that I am missing by looking at the picture. I hope you did something to strengthen that floor/ceiling assembly considerably. Do you know an architect or engineer who can take a look? You could ask an architect or engineer, or go to the local code office and ask to see the span tables that are in the building code. You can probably find the span tables somewhere online. You could use the table with 1/180 deflection, measure your span, figure about 40 lbs/square foot live load/10lbs dead load, and do the math. I think you will find that the structural support is severely deficient.
