Luca, your English is better than a lot of people here in the UK. Actually the Americans on here speak (type?) English better than alot of them too!

The work on the round stone pavement (in English we call them cobbles) by Roxie and you is simply fantastic, as is everything else you have done.

My only question is this: With all the work on the buildings, the cars and the holidays/vacations - when do you get a chance to work for a living - what is your trade?

(I know, that was 2 questioons!)

Tanks everybody, I'm very glad you all are interested in my (rough) work and some find it inspirational.

I think inspiration is just continuous feedback betweeen men, this help us to express genius everyone has inside. What's better than a forum like this to develope it!!

In my work lot of inspiration came to me from european (Italy and France, Spain, Holland, Scandinavia or Eastern Europe..) buildings of the past (country houses and barns, villages but also old factories and old railways stations, old streets and shops, pavements, enlightment...) but also from the american tradition specially: during studies I used to pass hours and hours in the Architecture Library of Torino Politecnical University: XIX and ** century architecture was rapresented almost entirely in protographs, manuals.. I found also a lot of american photograpic books of 20's, '40 and specially some 70's hand-made houses books like this for example:

They give a great push to immagination, of course. Many tecnics of constructions specially all those great wood works I discovered in many garages of this forum they are inusual in italy, anyway to build and live in an handcraft home is always possible everywere if you really want it.

My "true" work so is architect. I work for public administration to plan and project roads, schools, parks and even with an equipe a stadium and the new railway station of my town. Unfortunatly laws, costs, times and finally administrators and public taste needs often a very impersonal work. But after 18 p.m. you're not obliged to continue with impersonal life, is'nt it?

Citrogarages of the past #2!

In his anonimous car box of the six-floors building where I lived with my parents and brother, everything was born..

It is unuseful to explain in a forumgarage than many interests not well-accepted in a home (for ex. restoring a veteran car ) normally develope in a garage..

This garage and it's interior decoration still exist and is used by my brother Marco as a private atelier for his work: repair and restore, buy and sell vintage musical instruments!

It was in May, a great first summer is gone for our little Giovanni André with some 2cv meetings and rallies in tuscany and sicily to introduce loto of friends..

Lot of friends, everywhere, we hope our little man had a small taste of the world of love around him, now summer is gone and we need now a warm and confortable home, winter is so close..

..in recent months many upgrades have been made to our house and garage, always keeping the style of yesteryear and human scale that distinguishes them from the beginning.

the most important is the operation of the central heating of the 30 which, when updated, will replace the old stove finally, really powerful, but limited to one room. Here's our "new" boiler..

Here's the old fireplace, the fireplace stone and finally our boiler "The General" in place..
