The "Quality Shed Time" castings were very consistent but I made 80 or so of them, and used a match plate so every mold was consistent.
I still appreciate mine every time I have some QST in the tin shed.

Drives, we endure 100 mph winds here in Florida because following the hurricane is sun, following the sun are bikinis.

Like I said, each to his own. Personally I'm not eager to see you in a bikini.I still appreciate mine every time I have some QST in the tin shed.

Spot.
Reminds me of JOY.![]()

I need to make something to paint wheels, so I'll be watching this close. Everything from lawn tractor wheels to 20" medium duty truck
it looks like your noggin is working again on all cylinders!!
great design work on the wheel turning machine and you'll have to let us know how it works.
BTW Bellingham gets a lot more rain than we do here in South Seattle cause we have the Olympic mountains blocking our area somewhat while taking a ton of the rain coming from the Pacific. yep we all hope we can land and live where we like and it's good to have a few choices too. if my bride was willing to move back to Southern California or maybe Arizona i'd be happy to live there from October to April and here April to October and it would maybe be close to 65-90 every day without much rain.
I think I missed who SPOT is so i'll have to read back and find out or maybe i'll see if I stick around and keep reading.
40's and cloudy here today and ZERO wind.
cheers
Shorty: they're better be some pretty nice stuff under those bikinis if I was to sit and endure 100+ mph winds, but you seem to survive so still hoping you will again as more come thru.
Your pics aren't coming up for me.
I forgot to pay my picture bill again!!No pics for me either

I love the wheel painting rotisserie.
I saw one a once where the wheels were setup on individual axle points and a simple cord was used as a belt to turn them all at the same speed. worked great I thought and pretty easy and cheap.
They also used it to pinstripe the wheels.
I bet you'll be doing that next! I've got some striping daggers around here some place you can borrow. Hmm, let's see where did I put those?
You could also use one of those wheeled stripers. Try not to confuse this with strippers!
I can't see any pictures, but the video is fine.
Pete
I'm missing the pics also. Video is ok.
I’m not seeing pics on quite a few threads...

Andy, the only picture I took was us in a white-out snowstorm. You're on the right....I'm looking for the pictures, maybe Bob took them...

His eyes are what really sets it off.Classic Bob. I’ve never seen Andy look so good.

I'll help with a picture. this is from my living room.
yep after a few days of sunshine the clouds and the Seattle Drizzle is back, but it's not snowing or freezing and I know the sun will return some day.
I can imagine what your pictures looked like and i'm guessing it showed that you've been busy making some cool stuff better.
cheers

Are you staying busy and WARM?
it's a snow day here today that is for certain!!
we had about a half inch a couple nights ago and it's snowed another couple inches since I took these pics.
take care!!

The support section at the back was a conundrum to me as to how to get it welded in because once the running board is installed it is close quarters even though part of the skin is off.

I had decided I could reach in and gas weld it. But I recently had bought a MIG welder and figured I could reach in with it too. TIG welded the remaining vertical seam on the left.

Then finished it up with the MIG. It worked pretty well.

Welding the top horizontal seam I burned through some very thin metal. So the big glob is a welded up burn though. At least it's all welded now.
Here's my TIG and stick rig

And the new MIG

I went to buy a cylinder of CO2 but the guy at the welding supply talked me into Argon/CO2 mix. I'm glad he did, it welds very smoothly. I've resisted MIG after a bad experience in 1972. I figured it was time to try it again. The little bit of practice I did went very easily but the fitup on this brace was poor so I did an interrupted weld to get across the gap.
More to come!

Happy [Belated] Birthday Andy!
