Well my order status is now "Complete" with a message saying
"No longer available, you will be refunded."

Oh well. I wish the rest of you the best of luck.

I just got off the phone with Sears. My bank charge is still stuck at the "processing" stage when I look at my statement. According to a phone CSR, the reason is that the name I used in the website is different from the one on my credit card.

Ugh. I guess I'll order again. ***** though...my original order was the evening of 12/14, I was really hoping it would get fulfilled.

I'm waiting on an order from 2 weeks ago so in all likelyhood I doubt it would have made a difference. I have been told it should ship the 22nd....over the weekend it was the 20th...etc etc

I called today as well. I for sure thought whomever I would talk to, would be sick of hearing about these wrenches. IT took him a bit, and wanted to research it. He said they were looking for a vendor for them. So I asked, "if they are Craftsman and made in the USA, how many 'vendors' could you possible have for these?" I got some mumbo jumbo about a lot of work on the back end to get the product. He said they may not come, and I asked why I could still order then? he did say that was a problem and he would forward it up to someone/ probably no one. Don't need, as I could say the same about 60% of my tools, but doubt they are getting them. Hope I'm wrong for everyone else's sake

I'm not sure how long to let them hold my money? I'll give them a while longer I suppose...

My order went in on 12/19. Still says "in process". They already gave me the $20 in SYW points (which I spent) and my credit card was charged full amount of the order on 12/19 even though they haven't shipped yet.

Still no change here.
Wonder how long they are going to make us wait.

I just bought a slew of extensions a couple months ago.

Some of the extensions took 6-8 weeks to get. Very poor information/communication. Didn't think I was going to get two of them at all.

But finally delivered. What a Fandango these guys can put on!

This whole operation is kinda Catch-22 esque...

The most amazing thing is how many years they have been able to keep this hot mess going.

I've talked on "chat" twice with them. They assure me that they're waiting on additional stock to arrive. Both times they've "elevated" my questions to the "next level." HA! Nothing happens!

Mine says "pending" and previous to that was "in process." Have no idea what that means and either did they! They do already have my money, however. That went through immediately after ordering.

Too funny!

Same run around on my end.

Kinda want to cancel but don't want to miss out in case Sears magically pulls some wrenches out of their ***.

I have an order that has been pending since the 5th. I have talked to them twice and chatted with them twice. The last two times (Once chat and once one the phone, most recent being 2 days ago) I told them to cancel the order and refund my money which they said would be done and I still haven’t gotten my money back. I’m sure I will get it eventually but damn they have been a pain to deal with

Just got done talking to a rep from Searspartsdirect, ended up cancelling my order. The rep told me they still have not been able to have contact with the "vendor" who carries the wrenches. So in my mind I'm not going to wait months for the possibility of them showing up. Just a heads up.

it seems to me that if you use PayPal, they won't release the payment until it ships (or becomes available for pickup). i remember noticing this, and wondering how bad things must be that PP was tightening up on them . . . .since then, i have exclusively used paypal.

For the folks who have received their wrenches, any tips for keeping them organized? They are too big for the standard wrench racks. I was thinking about going the coiled wire route that I have seen in a few posts.

I use the Ernst "Space Saver" wrench rails. Work perfect and sell for around $13-$15 for the complete set on eBay. The notches graduate in size along with the wrenches, so each wrench fits perfectly. They hold 20 wrenches each (40 total), so with my 25pc metric set, I used some small leftover Snap On rails for the five smallest metric wrenches.

I always use PayPal when buying from Sears but I didn’t see that option on Sears Parts website. I’m sure this was just an oversight of mine but It’s one that I won’t make again. Thanks for the tip. About to try to call again.... wish me luck

Those are pretty.... I lucked out and got the a jumbo set when this all first started. I liked them so much that I placed a second order so I would have a set to put away for collecting but that’s when the orders started getting messed up. I think mine was one of the first to get “stuck” on 12/5. I sure wish I could find the rest of this set at a reasonable price though, I missed out when everyone picked them up on the cheap a while back.

If anyone grabbed an extra set back then and would like to unload them for a reasonable price shoot me a message, don’t mind you making a profit just don’t have crazy money to throw at them.

So although you already got a set, you want someone else to sell you another one while there are many who never even got it all?

Reading isn’t hard it just takes time... No as a matter a fact in the sears sales section someone had their wrenches show up with the metric set missing and when he called sears they told him to send them back for a refund. I thought this was so unfair that I told him that if he wished I would would send him the second set I had bought (Just to put up and save) and only charge him what I paid for them plus what It cost me to ship them. I am looking for the set with common size industrial wrenches that went cheap a year or 2 ago, I think through the Sears Outlets. I unlike a few on here just trying to be greasy and turn a dollar, think of others besides myself.

Sorry if I was unclear, I was looking for the Industrial sets that were sold a year or so ago one maybe 8 piece with common metric sizes and another with STD. Not sure if it was 8, 12, or even 15 piece sets but I remember reading about them somewhere on here about a year too late

That was me, I got just one bag of wrenches, it was the metric I got, the SAE's were missing( 4 wrenches). I ordered another set as soon as this thread was posted, but it's stuck like everyone else's. I am not going to send the original "short set" back till I get ONE full set. I would take a partial set over none at all.

SEAR's is such a bunch of losers. If you've been dealing with them much over the years you can see how they landed in this ditch.

Its sad they ended up where they are. They had everything in place to compete in the cyber shopping world and they didn't have the for site to get on the band wagon. Poor management :lol_hitti

Exactly. With their name and mail order experience they could have been Amazon.

I received an email today from Sears Parts Direct:

"We have received a request regarding the status of the part on your order # xxxxxxx. Per our records the part Lamp and Door Switch is No Longer Available. Refund will be issued in 24-48 hours.

This credit should be viewable by your financial institution within 7-10 business days from the day refund was issued. If you have any questions, please contact your financial institution after that period to verify receipt of the credit to your account. Please note, your financial institution may have processing guidelines for posting credits that may impact the time it takes for the credit to be reflected in your balance."

They think that the order is for a door and lamp switch! HA!

Mine didn't mention any specific part, just it was unavailable. Yet, they still let you order it online. So while talking to the dunce on the phone, I ordered another one to prove him wrong. Watch them ship this order. He gave me the 'Craftsman' phone number saying they should be able to get the wrenches for me. LoL

edit: I had a few minutes to waste, so I chatted with a SPD person, and he said it was available & I would receive tracking details in 24-48 hours. I know not to believe it, but he said I would receive my new order. I'm sure it won't happen, but the chat transcript would make anyone think otherwise. what a joke
