They've been cancelling orders for a couple of weeks now, yet the page they are listed on still says in stock and available for order. The delivery date and availability date have been, and still are updated regularly. yea- Sears got their **** together.

The cash flow theory regarding the continued in-stock status makes more and more sense.

my personal experience was a few online inquiries, followed by a expected ship date of 1/2, followed promptly by a cancellation, and then a five day wait for a CC refund.

Hmm. Not all over again. The one inch drive sockets for under 10 bucks apiece make really cool keep-in-the-freezer shot glasses, just mig in the drive opening and grind flush.

After one month, I gave up and contacted them. Wrenches are NLA, refund in 7-10 days.

I canceled my order on January 3rd. I just received the email this morning that my refund has been processed. I don't see the credit on my credit card yet, but the email says "Timing of the credits posted to your account may differ depending on your Financial Institution."

So it looks like about 9 days to process the credit, and maybe another day or so to hit my account.

At this point, I'm almost curious how long they'll hold my money without actually sending me anything.

You'll be pretty low on the list of creditors when they go TU. I'd start the process sooner than later, personally.

That was my logic too. Had to get Discover to intervene on my second order; they just kept saying wait another day on the chat. Apparently that is their default answer to every question.

I ordered Jan 8. Checked Friday and rep insisted they were nearly ready to ship put. On Tuesday, received order cancellation email. Checked today and Sears card had already been credited.

Had a similar experience. Chatted asking when they were going to ship. Didn't want to cancel the order just wanted to know when they would be shipped out. Sent to back office for confirmation on shipping date. Next day cancellation notice 1 - 2 days later CC was credited. Seems if you want to cancel they will hold onto your money as long as possible but if you want to keep the order they can't give your money back quick enough.

Ordered Dec 19.
Called and cancelled Jan 9.
They left an update on My email order copy on Jan 16: No longer available, will be refunded.

OK, I will see what happens next week.

Meanwhile; I should take some spare glass windows and build an ant farm. There would be far more action to enjoy watching; as ants are very industrious builders. Certain companies could take lessons from them. Naa,,, maybe not,,, those company executives would stomp on the ants instead.

The pleasant Gal I spoke with on the 9th probably doesn't know how to translate "wrench" to Her native language. Bill calls them and words such as "stock, wrench, warehouse" are used in their conversation. Sounds like they are a bit confused on the "Sears" end.

Well I spoke to a person from the US for sure, she had a southern accent and stated her name was shawnte. Anyways I canceled it. I cant be waiting over a month, had enough waiting. I find it interesting there is NO way to cancel the order online ZERO, ZILCH, ZIP. All you can do is call. Thank god it wasnt someone from india who answered too!

I called them about a week ago, they said the same thing.

I ordered Dec 14. Then I asked a few more questions about confirming stock, etc.

Then they said, a supervisor would call me. 7 days go by.

I got a Voicemail yesterday, saying, no stock, discontinued, order cancelled.

I'm convinced that if you are waiting for these, that you must believe in the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus...

Speaking of that, does anyone know the Easter Bunnies new email? I'm trying to get my order in ahead of time...

So after all that nonsense, I'm trying to find the folks again who offered to help me complete my partial set I received originally! Thanx Sears!

Just a delay tactic to prevent you from cancelling your order today. They've done the same to me and most everyone else in this thread prior to finally cancelling our orders.

I just did a chat regarding the large SAE/Metric combo wrenches I ordered on 12/14/17. They said the wrenches were on backorder with the manufacturer with no provided restocking date.

Surprise, Surprise :)

So I cancelled the order.

Well, on a good note, Sears did deliver the Craftsman Open-End SAE and Metric Wrench Set, 10-piece Part #: 48995SP to me today. These are good, but not as nice finish as on the full polish large combos that no one can get.

The good:
- big USA wrenches to round out my beater Craftsman raised panel set

The not so good:
- It arrived in an appropriately sized box with insufficient tape and padding. End of box was box was partially blown out. I am suprised the wrenches did not fall out.

- Wrenches have sharp edges on the inner claw. Should have been better deburred. Probably a cost saving measure.

The tools are marked -VV-

VV = Easco, ca. 1974 - 1989
VV continued = Danaher, ca. 1990 - 2011

Probably Danaher era stuff.

never got a response or update so I chatted to see what was going on and cancel my order and got into a ******* match with angie and told her I will never spend another dollar with sears, I cant get a cancel confirmation for 3 days, if then, I hope all their stores go bankrupt and close down.

Expedited - should hear in three days.

No answer to the question as to why they're still talking people's money for wrenches that they don't really have.

Ok, big wrench order appeared on credit card, along with swivel impact sockets. Neither delivered. Called visa they said to bring it to sears first. Was told 12/19 big wrench order was in stock Texas warehouse. 01/05/18 swivel impact order, No answer on swivel impact. Would get back to me in 3 days. That was three days ago. I am not holding my breath. Not, that much money to mess with considering that I put it on a no interest credit card.

Forgot to mention, recieved notification of deliver from sears about a week ago for deliver. Had hopes up for big combo wrenches. Disappointed when box was opened, I forgot I ordered large sae metric open end. It was a total bummer still happy. Good luck to all.
