Excellent organization... congratulations

Thanks!

envy that you appear to be done for awhile.
Looks good.

Oh no - a garage is never done ;) My plan is to add a 20 gallon IR garagemate compressor in the corner, fill one of the cabinets with air tools, replace all wood shelving with craftsman red/black cabinets and/or chests.

I'll probably leave the floor as is. Although red/black racedeck would be cool - I think I'll save it for a future house...

My dad is a craftsman/racedeck fan - we just did his garage a few months ago.

Awesome looking garage!! I love the fishtank, but I could see me poking out one of the sides with a stick of tube and causing a waterfall in the garage. :willy_nil

Looks great! I like those Craftsman cabinets and I am partial to the red and black color scheme myself. That tan epoxy floor looks better than I thought it would. How long have you had the epoxy down?

It's been down for over a year. Hot summer 6000 lb truck - no problem. I will say that it won't hold up to sharp objects (like a jackstand without a base). I do have to be somewhat mindful but overall I'm very happy with cost vs. benefit.

Nice clean garage.

What is the brand of the tool storage hanging above the workbench? The hanging storage with the drill and the paper towels hanging from it.

I actually use Husky Trackwall because the price at home depot is the best (7.98 for the track). It's exactly the same as the Craftsman trackwall, but that's 9.99 unless on sale.

All of the hooks I use are husky brand as well, with the exception of the paper towel holder (craftsman).

Wow! Looks very cleaned and organized! Congragulations! What is your epoxy floor?

Thanks! It's (1) Rustoleum Tan Two-Car kit you can get at Homedepot. I added 3 extra bags of flakes though. The clear coat is Rustoleum epoxy as well (premium solvent based clear - still at home depot). Two cans of that spaced about 2 weeks apart.

Well Done!
I also used the tan Rustoleum kit. I put it down in 2007 and have had NO problems whatsoever.
I used Craftsman cabinets and work benches also. But my garage is now packed with boxes of parts and such for my Jeep project. Your garage is so nice and clean!
Again, well done!

Thanks! We don't have any kids or car projects at the time, so it's easy to keep clean for now. Give me a couple more years and it'll be a different picture

I've been curious about that. So all the Gladiator attachments fit onto the Husky wall track systems?

Gladiator attachments will not fit into Husky. Only Craftsman and Husky are interchangeable.

Basically buy all the Husky stuff because it's cheapest (track and hooks/baskets). If you need something cool, like the paper towel holder, buy it from craftsman and hang it on your husky trackwall.

I will say - based on the reviews it sounds like the bicycle hook isn't the best & might break the track, but I've never had a problem with anything else. Those two cabinets about the work bench are about 90 lbs - all hanging from one four foot section of trackwall.

Now I'm really confused, I thought you posted above that your using a Husky rail, and you have the Gladiator clean up caddy hanging on it??

:willy_nil

Doesn't that just drive you crazy?
And even though you've figured that out, you must still buy all the accessories you possibly can before they're discontinued!

Keep up the great work, bud!

Haha absolutely OCD when it comes to the yard, garage & truck. Everything else - the wife can handle. Looking forward to seeing your setup!

Your garage is beautiful. It is personal and well defined as to what you want in it. One thing I really like is the tree and plants that add such an upscale look to the place!!

If you looked at mine, you would see stands and benches full of chaos producing woodworking machines that vomit out unhealthy and unmanageable loads of sawdust!

Great Job

looks great! what is that long thing on the ceiling? not the light.;)

It's a compressed air rail. It's kind of hard to explain so here is what the instructions say:

The tapping carriage slides back and forth along the rail. There is a tapping valve near each end.
Simply by deflecting the hose sideways
in the working direction, or approx. 50°
crosswise, the tapping carriage will
undock (compressed air will stop flowing).
The deflection will create enough momentum
to move the carriage to the next
tapping point (at which point it will magnetic lock and compressed air will begin flowing again).

It's Swiss-made and is for use on assembly lines - we just had one leftover from our warehouse and I thought it was neat.

Haha thanks I try to keep it clean.

VERY CLEAN VERY NICE! Sin to do something dirty in there. LOL

I do every now and then. I actually put a lift on my old 4runner in there!

So does the really clean 4 runner get to park in there as well :)

Traded in the clean 4runner for the F150 this past november. I guess I should change my username? :)

Awesome setup man, very clean! I like it a lot!

Your dad has a pretty nice space too!

Thanks! I still wish he would have gone with a patterned racedeck floor, but he likes things simple lol.

Picked up a new compressor last night - this one won't fit in the attic so it'll stay in plain sight. I'll probably get rid of that air rail now and just use a regular retracable air hose reel.

Nice compressor!

It's starting to look like a living room now haha. Personally I appreciate not having a TV in the garage but I like were this is going.

In that last pic are those two shelves from IKEA? I just noticed that. I have the same one as the taller one stuffed in a storage room at my place that i've had for nearly 20 years, also painted black. Those are sooo useful.

I have to have one - between my wife and my live-in sister-in-law - I never get to watch TV inside!
