l have an import one of those vises, do l loosen these "gib screw" looking screws to lean it sideways?
On the current version, the screw is in the obvious location. On yours, those screws should to something w the pipe jaws.

Home depot shows two different vised in their detail pix (morons). yours in first, then the above in others.

This one shows no obvious lock, like yours, even on the opposite side, which you didn't show us.

I wonder if they counted on the main screw locking it down, so you can't keep it tight and rotate the vise? No idea. Is there anything on the back end of yours, near where the slide hangs out.?

Some of them work that way. The main screw clamps everything. Great when you are trying to clamp something heavy at a weird angle!

That's not my vise, but mine has no obvious lock, and no, nothing on the back end of mine, near where the slide hangs out.
Sorry, l looked all over, can't find pictures of my vise, but no obvious lock on mine.

Isn't $1,500.00 a bit much for a Delta 14" band saw?
Carter bearings and quick release, but still?

These are the ones that get me. It's one thing if it's an antique, or older tool that it known to be bulletproof. Yeah, it's fine to quibble a little over price. When it's a tool that I can still buy unbroken, brand new, with warranty, it better be a screaming deal. I always see brand new, in the box, power tools that are priced at right about the same price as what I'd pay during a good sale at local store. I sometimes wonder if these guys are just trying to unload stolen stuff.

So, $280.00 for a dcs391?

DCS391PI comes with 5mah battery and charger and probably bag. HD says $274 +tax...So maybe $293 or so OTD. Nothing like saving 13 bucks on a stolen tool with no customer support/replacement or warranty. But hey, might make a friend in the process. lol

So you think those perusing Craigslist are looking to pay near retail?

Anyway, they can be found on eBay new for $80-$100 bare tool regularly enough.

It was an obvious joke...And you missed the fact that it was not a bare tool to start with.

Anyways, geez, I should've known better than to even enter the CL realm by looking at this thread triggering the CL regs. Later, haters. LOL In before more boohoo.

Okay, I had to post this one. Even if the price wasn't too high, I couldn't get over some of the glaring issues in the title/description. How many can you spot?

Only in the world of garage journal is every tool for sale on Craigslist stolen.
I mean, even I question the cheap and still sealed Romex wire. :)

I have a buddy running a "very good" business selling tools on CL, FB, other areas. All of those tools are new and legit. He's just found a way to buy low and sell higher in substantial volume with a big shipping discount. But he'd come across as someone who happened to empty out a delivery truck for sure.

What I don't understand is why anyone would buy 'antique outboards' for huge sums. Obviously they don't want to power a dinghy with them, what is more useless than an outboard motor that doesn't start. Show piece in the billionaire yacht smoking room? Not these junks, if they were all restored and shiny new, ok, but these are just old junk they want $1000 for.

Some of those shiny old motors fetch over $2000. Man cave displays.

As absurd as that is, if this individual had walked into a welding supply store and asked for a quote for those tanks, it could have come out to about a grand.

Of course he second hand market is is a different thing entirely, but I can see how this person may have been lead astray.

I wouldn’t even pay that much for a USA version of that vise. I do want a USA version of that vise, though.

Everyone I know that has one of those “Chinese wonder vises” absolutely loves it. If you mount it right at the corner of your bench… where when you lean it sideways… it is beyond the edge of the bench… they are really awesome. It is a brilliant form factor if you mount it like that.
Hey! I resemble that remark!

Thanks for the reminder to buy some more o' that settlin' gas!

I don't think anyone sells anything on CL around here anymore.
