That sign is looking so good! I need to make something like that to practice my welding skills. Great work.

....One more thing. I just went back and looked at your pictures again and must compliment you on how clean and organized your work area is. Makes me want to go into my shop and start it over again. Very nice place to work
Don
Oh my friend this is a great job! And a speedy recovery.
I hope your leg is already good.

BF, great to see you up and around and posting an update on your thread.
That ***** about your continued pain, hopefully that clears up soon and you are back to 100%. Although at the age we are 100% now is equal to 70% of our younger selves.
The flying A sign is looking good, can't wait to see how you finish it off.
Are you happy with your Bears so far this season? I'm hoping the season doesn't implode from Covid because the Seahawks are off to a great start.

I started lurking here back in July glad you are getting back to Da Barn I like the sign and will be watching.
Hope Don sends me the pattern when he's done with it: bounce
Go Bears

I've been lurking too. Very nice work on everything. The ramp boards being perpendicular to the deck boards ping my OCD a bit but I understand that you had to do them that way. If you hadn't, you'd probably have two broken legs! ha ha (yeah, probably NOT funny to you)
Can't wait to see your sign finished and lit.
PS: The only thing worse than getting old is the alternative!

That sign is looking so good! I need to make something like that to practice my welding skills. Great work.
Sign is awesome - AND BIG!!
***** that you're still in pain, my knee replacement got the best of me also. Between that, Covid and not being able to get any building permits from the backlogged county, this year has definitely sucked project wise.
Keep up the good work - when you get to it!![]()

Wow, if Don likes your stuff better than his own stuff you've REALLY done it right and been paid a helluva compliment!
PS: Maybe I missed it but enquiring minds (nosy-*** people) want to know: How'd you break your leg? The pain of breaking a big bone like the tibia had to be terrible. UGH, hope you're feeling better now. Preferably without heavy duty drugs!

You are certainly a man of your word Tony
I received a package from you today and I couldn't be happier
Thank you. I'll start on it next week

I just love ribs! Smoker and rids look's realy good. Any special rids recept?
You are the man. A man with many talents.
Cooking or BBQing is definitely not one of mine. And no interest in learning.
I do like to eat it though so I,m on my way over
Those ribs look GREAT!
Makes my mouth water just looking at the pictures!
Even with a broken leg (ouch), you have got more accomplished than me.
Sign looks awesome and now I'm hungry
Stay safe.
GB
Ribs! Those look delicious!
Jay
Tony,
Knock off the food ****, you're making me drool.
I’ve been looking at smokers too, our local barbecue place stocks the Daniel Boone at the completely affordable price of $4499 Australian.... currently looking for something round that’s not an oil drum to build one from.
I’ve book marked this page, the ribs look great, going to try that once I get the necessary equipment sorted.
I have been stealing recipes and ideas from this guy on Youtube.

You sure know how to make a guy hungry[emoji106]

Merry Christmas BF, I hope you get out to DaBarn more often in 2021 too. I enjoy watching you create/restore cool things. Hope your knees get better!
Jay

Tony,
Glad to hear you finally got your wood up...

We had an auction near our house a couple of weeks back and my wife asked if I would take her, with winter being over and the covid restriction lifting I think everyone from the tri county area was there and stuff went high $$$
My wife did bid on a vintage straw holder, I forgot to take a before picture of it but the nickel plating on it was bad and it had a few dents in it.
Luckily the nickel plating came right of with the wire wheel on my pedestal grinder, then I tapped out the dents and used a little body filler on it, I gave it two heavy coats of primer, wet sanding the last coat with 600 grit before painting it.
