I am setting one third of the materials aside for the pipe size holes for you guys with the HF punch kits, don't worry

Sure, 3/4 is no problem. Specially a thru hole, one less step for me.as opposed to threading.
But it won't be possible on all the sizes because were going to run out of meat on the smaller ones.
Is there a smaller adapter available for your machine that can thread on the 3/4?
Otherwise your going to have to use a bolt and nut for those.

I have set up a poll for those of you that want a set of dies: standard sizes or pipe sizes.

There is a smaller mandrel that is for use with the smaller punches. Let me check it out tonight when I get home and I'll send you the dimensions.
Claude
When you get ready to do the pipe sets, let me know and I will mike the actual diameters of the punches and you can apply the clearances. On second thought, I'll punch holes with them all and measure the hole diameter also.
Thanks again
Jim

BTW, One question...
What type and thickness material is that in your sample pictures?

12l 13 ?
I'm telling you guys - you are missing the boat by not opting for the pipe size dies and getting the HF hydraulic knockout punch set. It makes cutting the holes soooo easy and then you use the same setup to flare the hole. I have actually punched 3 thicknesses of 18 ga steel at once and it goes through it like butter.
If you want a set go sign up here at the poll http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=136269
Are there other punches available in the standard die sizes that will work with that HF hycraulic punch set?
I'm on the fence about which to get... Standard increments are so easy to lay out and design around... but that HF knock-out set sure would make life easier.

I needed them yesterday!
I think I can still do them though.... thats the beauty of these having a bolt hole instead only using them in a press.
