Thanks Lugz.

May I make a side-issue suggestion?

Another forum that I follow insists on some specific identifier in the title of a thread.
The mod will reject vague titles, such as: "I'm stumped", or "What is this" but favors: "Unusual ABC Wrench", or "Strange hammer-like tool".

Sure makes it easier to go back later and find a particular thread.

I don't expect a mod to get involved, but somewhere in the stickie that might be a suggestion.

Just my humble suggestion at that.

Thanks again.

leg17: That is a great idea. Will do!

F124C, RTM, Rube, and Jock,
Thanks.

All,
Keep posting comments, suggestions, things I missed etc here and I will gather them up for an update. I don't want to nickel and dime NUTTSGT every other week with minor tweaks, so I will save them up for a major update.

I already noticed some flubs, holidays, and omissions...

NOTES TO MYSELF:

I need to eventually ..

- Add the following Type thread links to the INDEX

Double-End Adjustables

- Add the following OEM thread links to the INDEX

Craftsman – Heritage era (1948-early 50’s)
Klein
Diamond Calk 1, 2, and 3.
Diamond vs Danielson Wrench-Off

- Fix the first INDEX section heading. (Now reads "// A. PLOMB to Greene & Tweed //“. Should read "// A.PLOMB to Gray //“.)

- Add and end date to the Craftsman – Crowntop (late 1950’s) link. I am not a Crowntop guy. When did it end? 1970’s?

- Fix the first Charles Miller link

- Start new unifying Compendium/Pointer threads for Mossberg and Utica, paste links to all the many previous Mossberg and Utica related threads in post #1 on each of those Compendium/Pointer threads, and then create links for the Compendium/Pointer threads in the INDEX. When someone clicks on the Mossberg thread link in the INDEX, for example, it will take them to the Mossberg Compendium/Pointer thread, and there they will find all the links to all the other Mossberg threads listed in post #1, instead of cramming them all in the INDEX.

I’ve been going along happily using the new Stickie and saving a ton of time until I went to post my new Xcelite tools. Is it possible that they got left out or are they listed under another name?

It's under Park Metalware, Don.

The story is very similar to Champion DeArment/Channellock, actually, now that I think about it.

Park Metalware made all kinds of tools (adjustable wrenches, multi-head wrenches, etc) under the Xcel brand name (no -ite) in the 20s and 30s. (Todd, Otg, and I have a few examples.) Sometime in the late 40's possibly 50's they introduced the drivers under the Xcelite brand name and they did so well they eventually changed the name of the entire business entity to Xcelite.

My bad. I will fix that.
