What's a good drawer liner to use. I have a krl722, and ordered about 5 roles of raptor liner on eBay ... I don't recommend this to anyone... The skin of it was peeling off in patches when I undid the roles, and I worked around it, but after 6 months I took out a heavy c clamp that had been in the same spot , and it peeled off a big patch of skin... Snap on sells the kit for 150, but thought there may be something else just as good... Drawers are 22" deep , so that limits the brand that can be used thx

I used yoga mat rolls in my box before. Worked pretty good and picked up a bunch of it cheap off ebay.

There's a post on here somewhere maybe u can search and find it. Somebody makes good stuff my toolbox is 12 years old and liners are in great shape but i custom ordered a high end box from matco.the companies may have cheapo these days

I replaced the liners in my Snap On KRA2407 with some EPPCO premium liner roll that I cut to fit. I think it was a huge improvement over the Snap On liners that I had, although I can't attest for how well it holds up over time as of yet. I paid $50 for a 30' roll if I recall. I still have about half of that roll left over.

I went down to an industrial rubber supply house that makes belts for food processing and other industrial uses. I bought 48" wide 1/8" thick neoprene rubber. So far it is the best stuff I have ever used. I have tried the foam type liners, both the solid and the checkerboard looking stuff, and extruded vinyl carpet protectors, the neoprene doesn't stick to anything, doesn't gouge or scratch easily, and wipes clean with windex. Only thing it doesn't handle well is raw fuels. I use rubber roofing. Try a local roofing place and ask if they have any scraps or are doing any tear offs.

I just picked up two rolls of the rubber mesh liner at Family Farm and Home. 5 bucks each for red or black.

Go with Nusource liner. It's nearly identical to SO's KRL liner but a slightly different texture pattern. (.050 PVC)

Thin/tough liner is the best. (Thick liner will impede fully loaded drawers from closing.)

Just be careful with the DIY route, one of the threads mentioned certain plastic's chemistries, which are safe for humans to touch, end up having issues over time. I believe it was Yoga mats, they are corrosive to tools appaently. Just do the extra homework. If you don't buy something sold for the purpose you are using it, etc.

Nope, those are proprietary drawer liners made out of PVC impregnated nylon mesh fabric. There is nothing like them on the market anywhere. You won't find anything else that is as sticky or as thin. And being that you have a Snap-on box, you don't even have to cut them; they'll drop right in.

Years ago Harbor Freight had a roll of drawer liner that worked great. Had a surface that gripped the drawer bottom and didn't slip. The liners that come with their boxes are terrible for staying put.
I'm not sure if they still carry the same stuff or not.

Same here. The big box stores sell nice gray stuff with ridges that help things stay put. My work box is full of heavy tool and die stuff, and most liners want to move around and bunch up, but the carpet works well and is cheap.

Waaaay too thick, can hold in moisture/dampness and the chemicals in the carpet can induce corrosion.

I've had the same carpet in my work box for about 15 years, with all sorts of precision ground tool steel sitting directly on it. It's never caused any rust. Mine is probably less than 1/4" thick.

When I purchased some 10 months back it was $90.00 for a 72" Wide x 20ft Roll of PVC black tool box liner with shipping.

I have EPPCO in my lista set up. So far so good and for the price I'm happy but I'm sure there's better stuff out there. I know when I was trying to decide what to buy there was a couple products that got crazy good recommendations but the price point was crazy too. I wasn't going to spend a grand or two for liner.

I have always used cork. Stiff enough to not wrinkle and things stay put fairly well. Rolls of sheet cork are available at most craft stores.

I've been using that for decades. I gave away the silly liners that came with my new Kennedy.

No I did not contact the seller. I did not want to hassle with it. Maybe it was a bad batch, but I can tell you this, the skin was peeling in patches just unrolling it. It was also wrinkled in places, and the wrinkles didn't fall out after 6 months. The stuff is cheap, just figured you get what you pay for, lesson learned.

I have two KRL 722, and notice the tools sometimes stick to the snapon liners as well, but never has the skin peeled when taking out the tool.

One of my boxes has thin automotive trunk liner, glued in place, from back in the car stereo install days. Still glued tight, no rusting of the tools, nice and quiet.

I used the 36" ribbed vinyl floor runner for drawer liners and pads between chests. I also found a source for 24" rolls which fits my Lista chest without any waste.

I'm telling you guys, the solid stuff ( not the cheaper "checker board" stuff they sell) that Horror Fright sells is IDENTICAL to the stuff that was in my big Mac roll cart and I'm NOT a HF guy by any means!. It's VERY sticky, since I closed my shop I've rolled my cart all over my asphalt driveway and NOTHING moves. I'm not sure it will be wide enough for some boxes though, but compared to some of the prices I've seen for this stuff $$$ WOW!

On advise of some on this thread, I ordered a roll of EPPCO liner. It's the same stuff that Snap-on sells with with the KRSC carts. It's much nicer than the stuff you get with a Heritage box, and I like it better than the stuff that comes with a KRL too. While you get a tiny bit more than the 72" that they say is on a roll, mine was folded over on the roll, so the last piece will have a crease in it about 6" from the end.

I used the drawer liner sold at Dollar General. It's intended for kitchen silverware but it's inexpensive and works well in a toolbox.

I have EPPCO liner in my toolbox. I'm pretty satisfied with it. I also have a piece on the top of my stainless work top on my box. It holds up well. Things stay in place and it wipes down well. I've been satisfied with it and it didn't cost all that much.
