This is the first result of many based on googling. Also I manufacture rubber gaskets for a living. 2000 psi is simply too high pretty much anything above 1000 psi I wouldn't recommend and even that may be pushing it.

I assume you mean like really blasting a window, if you're say 5ft from a window it's not hitting the window at 2kpsi, I'd think anyone with common sense wouldn't be 6" from a window blasting it with the stream as it could break the window.

Some truth in all sides of the topic for sure. But, there are lots of folks out there without common sense. Just read the WTF thread here in GJ for a small sampling. Know your tool and use it wisely.

LOL, well...... I'm horrible with waiting. Already en route to my house. Free shipping and had a $10 off coupon. All in it will be the same price as i paid. Lets hope this one works better.

Well after two attempts with my new MaxWorks Retractable Cord Reel, I've given up. Its now going back for a refund.

Mounted on my ceiling

Mod required to hold any position with the cord. Useless.

Just found this one online at Lowes. Going to go check it out once my refund has been processed.

Bummer!

That's actually not the one I have after all. The amazon link you posted a few pages back was for the Bayco reel, which IS the one I have. Looks like a different brand in the pics you posted.

Regardless, hopefully you like the new one better.

Shipped that s**t back last night and already received notice my refund is being issued! Looking forward to the new one arriving.

Actually had a chat about that tool and function with a neighbour the other night who is now setting up a reel on his ceiling as a result.

I have yet to find a reel I like. ive gone through 3 so far

Yea i can completely understand that. My first one was actually great. Only issue i had on that one was the actual outlets were a little tight and it was a struggle to get the plugs in and out.

I'll update this once i have received and tested my new one. Fingers crossed hahah.

I wish my shop cleaned up that nicely. Looking slick!

Thank you sir. It doesn't take too much effort to bring it back in line which i love.

Got a chance to test out the new extension cord reel and thus far..... its great. Performing really well.

Fun project mode in the garage at the moment. Building a console table for my wife with metal pipe fittings for the base and a pine top. First time playing with the piping but its been something i've wanted to try for quite some time. Not cheap but sturdy and love the industrial look.

Great job on the console table dubber.

Thanks, its coming along well thus far. Cool to be able to build something instead of buying it. I can now understand why the quotes i received were so high. I had a couple quotes around $600 for a table with the specs we wanted. I'm basically at $200 right now in material.

Dubber, I have now read through both of your garage threads and really enjoyed the process you have gone through.

I benefitted from the whole dieselgate TDI thing myself and just this past April picked up a leftover "new" 2015 GSW TDI with the first round emissions fix already done for my new daily (replacing my 2003 Jetta Wagon TDI)..

seeing your refresh on the R32 makes my 2001 Golf 2d TDI look sad.. I need to step up my game. Also since the 2015 is my first New car purchase I have the desire for the first time to actually keep the new car clean and looking good.

I will deifnitely be looking into the foam gun thing as I have both electric and gas pressure washers available and find I dont use them much..

keep up the great work. ill be looking back thrugh this thread for ideas for my own garage., thanks!

Thanks for taking the time to read through both threads. They have both been amazing journeys. Awesome to hear you were able to already complete your Diesel transaction. The waiting period for me is killing me. Already started to collect mods for the car i don't yet have in my garage hahaha.

Yeah, it was pretty easy for me, I didn't own any TDIs newer than my 2003 so I waited until the Dealerships were allowed to sell the 2015 New leftovers again, I walked in on a Friday at noontime and was like, what do you have for TDIs avaialble and do you have any Sticks..

We have a few, and No he said.. once I paused and took a deep breath and got over that one (no Sitcks :( ) they showed me ths base model I wound up buying. Less VW electronics to break, huge upgrade in size from the MK4s I have been driving since 2002, and 162k mile warranty on the emissions and engine equipment to boot made it a no brainer.

Good luck with your new Alltrack, those are amazing machines, and you will then have 2 4-Motion VWs in the garage.. will make for a nice pairing. That R32 VR6 makes such sweet sweet music.. one of my Friends had one in black.

New ride will actually be a 2017 Golf Sportwagen with 4motion. New in Canada this year is the first time you can get the 4motion in this configuration. Alltrack premium of $5,000 didn't make sense for my application as it comes higher, and i've already ordered lowering springs for it. R LED headlights are also enroute. Super excited!! As you mentioned the fact of having two 4motion cars in the garage is pretty cool.

Put the final coat of paint on the table base and second coat of stain on the top. Joining them up tonight hopefully and putting it down in the basement in its new home as my wife's record player display.

That came out and looks super awesome. What receiver/speakers is the turntable hooked up to? now all you need are a few wire milk crates to store LPs in on the bottom support/shelf..

Thanks man!

I've got the record player connected to the stereo system down there (Denon Receiver with Cerwin Vega speakers), out of view of the previous pic. Here's a crappy cell pic from a few months ago after shifting furniture.

And wifey found this awesome use for the coffee table compartments.

Excellent taste in music being shown on this page.

Its certainly been fun collecting records for this project. Seems to really be a rejuvenating area of music as of late.

Cleaning old Jetta parts, collecting new parts for the car that arrives next Monday and just need to strip any accessories i can from the Jetta prior to trade-in. Bittersweet as always. I Love getting new cars (obviously) but each of my former cars (13) keep fond memories for me.

Spent several hot nights in the garage recently as mentioned prepping for vehicle turnover. The Jetta is officially gone and my TDI buyback is complete. Must admit that was a great investment hahaha

My new daily driver is now home and the modding has started!

Congrats! Big fan of the JSW.

Sadly, I'm on the losing end of dieselgate as my GLI has simply tanked in value. Oh well, I still love vw's but have an audi on order.

Thanks, yea the GSW is going to be extremely useful for us. And i certainly love a blank canvas to satisfy my desire to mod all things lol... ****** to see your value tank. At least your driving a great car :)
