Dubber... Can you link to the license plate covers you are using?
Dub, the wagon is looking very clean indeed. How are you getting around the front plate requirement in Ontario? Did I miss a rule change?
I had been running no front plate on the front for a few weeks. But it was only while i was awaiting delivery of my US Mil Works tow hook plate mount. Quality piece that i highly recommend. I had thought i could cobble together a mount from a couple extras i had from previous cars, but no dice.
It would be nice if manufacturers at least integrated a mount into the bumper with removable cover. I hated tacking a plate onto my scirocco front spoiler...
I appreciate the no front plate dilemma.... I ran without for years, but once every 18 months or so I would get stopped. Now I have them on most of my cars, but certainly wish I didn't. But just don't want to give anyone a reason to stop me. Ironically, for years (when I didn't have front plates) Mrs. Farrbar told me to get them, once we got the Aston - the wife wont stop telling me how bad the front plate looks.
Question in Ontario is the tinted cover legit? In illinois any cover is technically illegal. I think that is bogus, put it is because of the covers that obscure plates from the red light and speed cams.

Your garage are nice and clean, personally I like this view with the two cars, and the Racedeck FreeFlow flooring - amazing [emoji6][emoji1303]

That flooring never ceases to amaze me at how clean it looks. I need this in my life!!!
Hope you are doing well Dubber!
I figured that was only temporaryThanks Patrick. Always appreciate your positive vibes. Thankfully for my own sanity the Summer wheels are now stored and out of the way lol...
I was reading through and found what you're looking for...CIL Smart 3 Ultra Premium exterior paintYou probably mentioned this earlier in the thread but do you recall the name / brand of paint you used on the walls?
Had a fun night last night with this badboy dropping by. Not bad for around 200 grand. Can't believe how huge it is, i really wanted to see what it looked like in the garage space wise. I only had a couple inches to spare at the back and at the front with my workbench. The GLI parked beside it looked like a MINI cooper in comparison.

Nice Dub's. Fellow water-cooled owner for 30yrs. Well, there was that one 69Fastback when I was 15. I'm in the position to transform my new space with the new house in 2 weeks...so stay tuned for my thread from Rochacha.

Do you have any Westphalia friends that could put their vanagon in your garage (non-Syncro, stock height)?
Love the wagon! Your cars are always clean!
Dubber, where you been?!
Dubber, I subscribed to this and your previous thread many moons ago dreaming of the day I could emulate it. Well that day is very nearly here!
We have had an offer accepted on our first home, which is intended to be a temporary (5yrs or so) place while we build some equity etc (Emigrating to the USA has been very tough in terms of getting started, but we are getting there now) to buy our 'forever home' which will hopefully be something with a bit of land and at least a 3 car garage.
The house has a 2 car attached garage like yours, which will be home to my racing kart and utility trailer in the summer, and storage for the kart and replacing the trailer with my wife's car in the winter. So I will be drawing a lot of inspiration from your thread, and no doubt asking many questions!
Well 6 months later, I can say that we have finally put a deposit down on a '17 TSI 4motion slick top, long roof Sportwagen in Tungsten Silver. it has 124 miles on it, and is at a DEEP discount. Thanks for your input.
Dubber are the wagons more reliable in gas or diesel? I'm looking at them but haven't ever owned a vw, I have a BMW as my fun car so this will get a lot of daily/weekend/bad weather duties.
Hey dubber! Any updates?
That's exactly why I don't like race deck flooring. Not only are you screwed if you drop a small fastener, it traps moisture under the tiles along with grime and dirt. The only advantage to it that I see is that if you are renting, you can take it with you when you move. Otherwise, polycuramine/epoxy seems like a better option. I hope you were running a dehumidifier all winter.
Thanks man! Right after i scored that i also grabbed a CTS turbo muffler delete and inlet pipe. Have to take it back out to install those bad boys. Hoping to add a little HP and some fun noises.![]()
Hahaha. Yes this car is silent now, which is the polar opposite of my R. Trying to find a happy medium![]()
