Not familiar with that one.

Ha ha I do forget that this is a yank site sometimes
And the fact I go on 3/4 different forums might confuse me

I will refrase

How's about hanging a small electric radiator on the wall, to take the nip out of the cold winter air!:bounce:

Dubber,
I am still scrolling through your 43 pages. I'm only on 11. I took today and decided on the layout. And now I just need some lumber. Lucky for me I bought my house in a new development. So next week I get free 2x4s that are left over. I will add the photos I took today and upload them later.
But for now I am attaching a photo of my game room.
I grew up surfing in San Diego. But we had a mall that had an Ice Rink. I was hooked like at 4yo.
I would like to take this opportunity to Thank your countrymen for inventing the best team sport ever. And when I retire I plan on having enough land to have flood out for some pond hockey.

Yea the little heater is definitely a necessity.

Very nice garage. Could you post the specs of your red Honeywell heater? Thanks.

No problem. I scooped it on a boxing day sale for around $30.

1,500W Ceramic Pro Series Heater
-Adjustable thermostat
-2 heating levels: Low 900 W and high at 1,500W
-Adjustable legs

There are a few safety features that i liked, a front emblem which turns to red when the front grill is hot. It has a high temp safety cut off, and a safety cut off if it is tipped over.

Honestly it works great for my little space. Usually just turn it on for a couple of hours a day or when needed and the garage gets up to a good temp. Glad i happened to stumble upon it.

Audi center caps? What the heck are you trying to pull here? LOL

BTW, is that a snow mountain I see at the end of the lot?

Hahaha, yes good eye Rick. Remnants from my old B5 A4, that were still in my wheel inventory. I'm doing an overall this spring and those will likely see Kijiji to make way for a fresh set-up.

Yea and that's nothing, the pic was taken after a few days of warm weather, normally its huge!

I love how a single car garage can be kept so organized and clean. You sir really have a super clean GLI I have ever seen, congrats on the new TDI you'll love the fuel economy it will give you.

Hi Dubber.

You have a great garage. Do you by chance, know the model number of the Honeywell heater ?

Its looks like it could work for my garage.

Thanks.

Thanks! I have to be strict with the organization so i can keep it useable and still enjoy it at the same time. Loving the TDI thus far, it definitely is a contrast to my GLI haha.

I've just spent the last two or three days reading all 43 pages. The transformation is amazing. Once it warms up I need to build another garage and clean up the one I've got and give it some love. Love the Jetta. I've always wanted a TDI but it hasn't happened yet. I thought of getting one in my Beetle but I only drive 14 miles a day so I got the 2.0T instead.

I definitely commend you for getting through it all, and I appreciate it! Always great to see a fellow dub fan. How do you like the new Beetle?

So far I like it a lot. There are a couple little quirks but hey it's a VW. I used to have a 04 New Beetle with the 1.8T and the 2.0T with a 6 speed is awesome. I can't get over how much get up and go it has. Now if only spring time would come so I could pull it out of hibernation.

Here it is a few days after picking it up. Don't mind the garage...it needs a lot of work

Nice one car garage bud, I like your GLI a lot. It looks unmolested and well taken care of. I have had VW's my whole life. Current Jetta:

Glad to hear your enjoying it. VW does a good job making their cars fun to drive. Especially when you chose their turbo option. With a little tune those cars really wake up.

Thanks dude I've honestly been in love with this GLI since i first laid eyes on it. Took a few years to be able to afford having a toy, and then to find a well taken care of example that i could continue its legacy.

I think i actually remember seeing your car on the tex at some point. I think you moved houses and did some welding work yourself? Could be wrong. Thanks for stopping by and showing your dub.

Very true, I've never had a car that was fun to drive as any of my 6 VWs. I probably won't do anything with my bug but hard to say.

Nice mk4. I really wish my jetta's both shared the same bolt pattern because i would have put the RC's on the TDI for sure.

I'm planning to keep it civilized. Had it tinted last week, and this summer i'm going to get some OEM 17" wheels and put a some sport springs in to bring it down a bit and give it a little firmer ride.

Ditto this! I might own/drive Nissan's, but I am a car guy and I loves me some nice VW's. Nice cars guys!

Atta boy!

Dubber, you and all the guys with dope single car garages are killing me right now. I'm going to be finishing up my wiring soon. Which means I'm going to be putting up sheet rock, which means I'm going to have to paint. That shouldn't be a problem except I think when I'm all said and done I'm going to be putting in some RaceDeck flooring. So right now I'm contemplating a color scheme for my garage! :dunno: The floor won't be put in until I rip apart the garage part, but I would rather paint once! :drink:Pulling out my hair looking at garages everyday!

Hahaha nice. If your looking to avoid or put off a project i suggest leaving this site, now! However if you want to get super motivated and impatient with the speed of your progress this is the site for you lol....I definitely caught the bug when i enrolled here and it pushed me to complete my project beyond my initial scope. Love this site!!

Took me 3 days to finish reading the thread. Awesome garage. I love what you've done with the space :)

Awesome! Thanks for getting through it all.

I still fondly recall when i first joined this site i was doing that every single day i would chip away a few pages at a time of the more lengthy threads like ODIS', Bald is Beautiful, Project garage condo and Rick's. There are several more that i can't unfortunately remember at the moment.

Yeah it is a great place you created.

btw: love your Jetta. In Europe Jettas are only sold till 1995 or so. Your car is called Bora here and they sell badly. Europeans prefer hatchbacks. Don't know why.
