Selling? Just as you cleared 1000 posts too eh? Any thoughts on what will become of this thread? I know my wife and I were pretty seriously considering moving recently (decided to stay), and I had a hard time trying to figure out whether to leave the thread up if we moved (since the garage would then be someone elses property). That, or if I left it, would I merge it into the new garage.
I suppose you could start a new thread called "Dubber's Double," think of what you could do with all that space!
If it were me I'd leave a note in there for the next owner letting them know they've bought a legend, and not to mess it up
In all honesty though, all the best to you and your wife wherever you end up.
Dubber.. bro, I'm sorry to tell you.. it looks like there is just TOO MUCH shine in that TDI paint job. I'm thinking you'll have to now part with it.
Great job.. it looks really good (no shocker).
I'm an old fan of Autoglym products. I have not seen those in a while. Last time I had the wax was quite a while back. I hate to hear your selling out, such a beautiful area and place you have there. However, I know you will find just what you want. If you do move, you can do another garage easily, you have lots of experience!! I kept up with your thread all through your operations.
Best Regards

Thanks Eric for the very kind post. The whole "closing" a thread thing is something i strangely didn't even contemplate. I'll have to think on it. I guess it will also depend on what kind of garage that I end up with as well.
The deal breaker is that it has to at least be bigger than what i currently have, and more outside parking.
Hahaha. That is dependent on me actually getting a garage that i want![]()
Be confident!![]()
Cheers!
You know - I didnt realize your place was in a townhouse/condo - didn't dawn on my until I saw the outside shots of your place.
It must make all the other garages in that unit look terrible!
Nice job - love the work you've done.

We have two strong possibilities now. Snapped a couple pics of each.
I have 2 single doors right now and had a double door at my last house. I think I like the double a little better. Mainly because if I wanted to, I could pull a car in the middle of the garage and have more room to work. With the 2 single doors you always lose space on one side unless you can manage to pull in towards the center.
Big Door >>>>> 2 Small doors. Much easier to get in and out, especially with a wider vehicle (with the mirrors extended on my Ford Raptor I have ~3" on either side with a single door). As mentioned, the big door is much more flexible too.
I was told the same thing when shopping for a garage door--1 big door was better then 2 singles...(single doors gents)
Therefore; I went with a 16ft double.
Big door is also beneficial because there's only one set of hardware to maintain. Double doors means twice the likelihood of a failure or problem. I'll reinforce the opinions of others stating the increased functionality of having an option to pull in wherever you want with a single door.
Personally, I love the look of the double doors, but the single door wins for practicality. Being able to pull your ride into the middle is the key point that led me to decide on a single-door configuration. Also, some other valid points were made by previous posters. Having twice the hardware means twice the maintenance and twice the chance of something failing. All that said, I'd go with the best house of course!

You know, I personally do not dig that wheel style...BUT it looks DAMN good on your car!![]()
They definitely aren't to everyone's taste but then again, I like them, so i bought em hahaha.... One of my favorite parts of riding with these wheels is how easy it is to clean a monoblock wheel. My BBS wheels take forever! And then i also have to make sure my brakes are super clean with the BBS wheels as you can easily see through the spokes. A couple people who i know that were on the fence changed their minds when they saw them in person.
I think the car looks great, I really like the wheels.
