Another item off the list! I find keyless entry pads for garage doors an extremely useful solution, especially as a back up to losing a key or the remote not working.

Installed this bad boy today, Chamberlain Wireless Keypad 940EVC-P2

You'll love it! We use our keypad ALL the time when we go for walks with the dog and/or boys. It's nice to be able to leave keys at home, exit through the garage and close/open the door(s) without anything extra needed in our pockets!

And I also have the MyQ app on my iPhone, so I can check on the status and open/close doors remotely, which is clutch!

I'll second the MyQ app and module. Great peace of mind to be able to check that the garage door is closed when my OCD kicks in and I have to check to assure myself that I closed it.

Already love it. To be honest its sole purpose was a secondary source of entry. My last homes had one, and i hadn't realized at first how useful they are.

As to the MyQ comment, thats my primary issue. I have the MyQ module which was installed on my last Craftsman opener in my old garage. For the life of me I can't get it connected to my Liftmaster 8500C. The other and maybe related item, is that i can't get the bridge to work that came with my new Chamerlain opener which is basically the same thing.

I agree, i want to get mine connected, but as mentioned above, I'm obviously an idiot. Can't get my module from my last house connected to my new openers. My cameras are my salvation thankfully which show the doors status.

Last weekend I had the opportunity to work on this majestic Porsche Panamera 4 e-hybrid. It’s quite a deceptively large vehicle, but I still had an amazing amount of room to enjoy the process.

I have to admit, initially I wasn’t certain adding a full sized fridge in the garage was a good idea, but man oh man has this been useful. Especially when we really want to hunker down and avoid daily trips out.

Good choice on openers. I did the same thing and added a 3 pack google system which seems to have an amazing range for each end of our house and garage wifi is top notch.

The shop was once again put to use recently to help breath new life into this BMW X5. Treated to a full decontamination, 1 stage polish and a ceramic coating.

Those are always the most satisfying for before and after pictures for sure.

To be honest this was one of the worst carpets i've ever dealt with and i had to get creative and pivot from my standard operating procedure. Owner said he wasn't able to put in his Weather tech mats in the front prior to the first snow fall, then didn't bother

1. Started with a rough session with the shop vac
2. Applied a liberal coat of Vinegar diluted with water to assist
3. Allowed time to dwell
4. Aggressive usage of my Mcculloch steamer
5. Extractor then used on full carpet
6. Applied a thick coating of Salt Eraser
7. Allowed time to dwell
8. Extractor then used for a second time
9. Sprayed full carpet with Odor Eliminator by AutoGlym
10. Pulled out camera

I had to go look to see if you'd done the ceiling white? Did you use multiple coats or a primer first? I imagine the naked OSB REALLY sucked up the paint. When I did one wall only in my old garage the latex paint cause a few strands of wood to pop. Fortunately not many so I just pulled them off and painted over. Weren't noticeable.

We just moved after 20 years. I've been in a truly crappy 90 year old 18x18 garage with badly cracked/heaved floors so I am itching to give my new huge (to me!) 22x24 garage the "Double" treatment. I have been thinking white but now reconsidering yours looks so good, Especially love the black perimeter footings. Mine are pretty rough. Did you fill rough spots with anything or just paint over?

Thanks! I’m a big fan of their panel system. Allows flexibility if you don’t want to use all panels or chop them up for a smaller spot as I did for the two pillars between garage doors. Their accessory assortment is perfect as well. I would recommend. I have 4 x eight foot sections and 2x four foot sections.

Hey Dan, thanks for the reminder I need to add that handy Legend feature to tag various info pieces embedded along the way. If you have the desire to paint I would argue it’s the perfect colour. Thus the reason of replicating it in this space. I too (for a minute) thought maybe I’ll just paint it all white. No regrets taking that next step and going with some colour. The ceiling is actually just two solid coats of the zinsser primer which did an amazing job. But boy does it stink! Walls have two coats of primer and two coats of paint. Man was that a task and a half. Good thing I was super motivated or I never would have made it. As for the stem walls it’s an amazing difference painting that portion can make. In my double I had to fill a couple spots (can’t recall the product) but in this one I just lathered on some masonry specific tinted paint. Works well with only one coat and a brush.

As for full a full ceramic coating I’ve been using CarPro CQuartz UK 3.0 which I’ve really enjoyed. Main recommendations beyond following the instructions along with proper prep is ensure you haven’t missed buffing off any high spots. Annoying to fix post application. In terms of spray ceramic coatings the CMX is my favourite. I’ve been using it as a topper on ceramic coated vehicles and as a “sealant” replacement on non protected cars.

Treated this beautiful Audi SQ5 to a full interior and exterior cleanse along with wheel swap. She is now summer ready!

Well i just went out to the garage, and no dice. No markings anywhere. Then combed through my dubber's single thread and only found a reference pic, but no name. Purchased in 2013 and have been working great since. I'll keep digging and edit this if i can find the answer. I know i sourced these due to the flat bottom for racedeck and they are much lower which helped with my vehicles.

Those stands look very similar to the aluminum Schwaben and Torin units. Not identical, but very simlar. Earlier models or different manufacturer maybe?
