Also based on the fact that the Asians make ****** tools.

I dunno, I've seen some really nice stuff from Genius and Toptul. I am a pretty die hard USA and Euro tool guy, but the quality of some of the Asian stuff is just undeniable. Nepros, for example, borders on fine art.

Oh well. I just plain love tools I guess.

You better watch talking like that around here. You tell people you use a Great Neck ratchet and they'll string you up by your balls and beat you with Snap-On breaker bar.

So that's why they call it a breaker bar....

Speaking of yourself? You want to antagonize someone then expect that sort of response.

Ironic thing here is the folks suggesting that the used market is better than Asian new without realizing that used does even less to support US jobs than buying Asian...

I can buy a 40-50 yr old ratchet, and still get a rebuild kit for it which replaces wear items, because the design is the same and the quality is still the same as the one they are making today.
There is no used market for the dura-last, because it is neither durable nor does it last, and when parts are worn it's a throwaway ratchet, hell they can't seem to use the same Mfg company ten years in a row so making it even harder yet for them to offer an exact replacement/rebuild kit
:dunno:
