where are you ordering it from?

Looks good! I may have to go with that color also. Is that the ford blue? I'm certainly not a big fan of ford, but I like that color
Nice set up, I went with the Qt-5 from a local craigslist sale. Just getting it set up, where did you get the Aro regulator/filter setup?
check the for sale ads, I was surprised that champions, Quincy's, etc were out there only a few years old.

Just found out there's a 5-6 week turn around time on the Quincy. Not good. Why would it take that long? Are they that small of a company?
'Quincy Blue'.. AFAIK, that's the only color they're painting this line.
Doubt you'll have any success with that; TPTools' website says the Quincys are built-to-order and drop shipped directly from the factory.I'm going to call TPtools in the morning, to see if they happen to have any in their inventory, and ask if I can get a reduced price if I come pick it up rather than them pay for shipping

Does anyone know how old of a model that Quincy even is? I called Northerntool to see if they would price match, and was told they no longer even carry it, that it has been discontinued? TPtools offered to lower the price for me a bit if I pick up in their Ohio store, but I'd have to pay sales tax, so it's not worth it, even though I'd have the compressor 4 to 5 weeks sooner
Oh well, guess I'll be ordering from TPtools today and hopefully have it by mid to late April

Now I need to expaline to the wife why I "needed" a new compressor![]()

I got my Quincy from Northern for 350 less than I could find it mail order . The thread is below .

Thanks.. got the IR reg/filter/lube at Northern. Was the only one I could find locally that had the 1/2" inlet:

FYI - This IR setup is rated at 150psi.. Be sure to dial back your QT-5 from its 175 psi max.

Where did you find the Arrow Pneumatics?

Eaton rubs me the wrong way. Their site is full of salesmanship, just like the quote you posted about $430 in feature at no additional charge. I guess they are giving that to you out of the goodness of their heart. In addition, their past responses to the folks in regards to the expose link that I posted turned me off of them for good.
Any further advice?
Any further advice? I am in the middle of choosing a compressor. I was all for IR and I am now leaning towards Eaton. Hobbiest that wants to run a fab shop out of my garage lol.
Got mine Friday....it's a big son of a gun. I post some pictures tomorrow.
Quincy's lead time is back down to only 2 weeks. which is pretty good for them considering the only compressors that are actually sitting on the floor ready to ship are the small screws. everything else is built to order. and since the Atlas Copco Buy out of quincy, everyone is buying up quincy's in fear of an overhaul.
oh yeah, Quincy over Eaton any day!
