demry1 I had Epoxy-Coat/Performance flooring apply the coating to my floor not only did they do a terrible job the stuff scratches so easy I cant even move a wooden step ladder on it without leaving scratches. And good luck getting them correct a problem.

Objective reviews are always great; especially ones that highlight potential pitfalls. But as a single and only post with minimal details this doesn't look very constructive (with questionable credibility). Any chance of starting a thread on this with some pictures of the problems and details of your situation? I'm sure others would love to know more about your issues before they take the plunge.

Congratulations...You have good reason to be excited.

Be careful with the big guys. They can wield a lot of power and put your business at risk if you let them, especially if they become the bulk of your business. I know nothing about your business so this may not apply (I hope not).

Hope it all turns out well and is a very profitable move for you.

Thanks guys, this has been a very long process, I of course hope things go well. Sales seem to be doing pretty good so far.

I have no idea who the poster is that had a problem with his floor install, doubt he's talked to me about it...

No, too close to our plant here in Michigan. Nothing in Ohio. Call me at the office and I will see what I can work out.

What's the best way to get it in Michigan? Will it be available at Lowe's next spring when I might choose to do this project?

Please PM me and I will list the stores in your area. It is too long of a list to print here.

Letterman52, not sure why they don't know about us, we have been a special order product for any store for years...PM me, I can help.

Alright. I finally have everything either ordered or in my garage. It feels like Christmas came early this year..... How am I excited about this....lol... A big thanks to all the gals at Epoxy coat for helping me with the Lowe's debacle. Amazing how a vendor knows more about lowes than the employees.

That being said, can we special order it from a local store that isn't carrying it at the same price now?

Menifee employees had issues and do not know how to place special orders properly. :headscrat Wasn't it funny that another store could do this pretty easily??? Very frustrating for the vendor!! Glad you got everything ordered that you wanted!

Has the Epoxy-Coat product made it's way into Lowes Canada stores? Very interested in trying it out on my garage after reading all the good things about the product.

Nothing in Cananda yet. Depending on where you are in Canada, we can ship there or we do have a distributor there.

Christine,
I have a gravel driveway and was wondering how the floor will stand up to gravel on our cars tires.

I tried like hell to get it from another CA store here to Fremont, CA. The people in these stores just don't care frankly. Epoxy what? Special order clear what? I'm done. I'll wait till it's easier and more stores have it, find something else (does Rustoleum Pro have Taupe?), or eh, don't do it...doesn't really need it anyway. I was ready today to place the order though.

I saw the Fresno store still had several kits available last week. That's about as close to Fremont as it gets I think. The Lowe's people are totally clueless on this stuff. I had to provide them with their product number. They'd received it and lost it. If you really want it you have to be willing to do all the work. Doesn't sound like you're that highly motivated to do it though. Incidentally the taupe is gray.

Yeah, I think it was the fourth call to the Fresno store that did me in. Nice girl working the paint dept, but the guys in Fremont either don't want to do it or are out of their infernal minds.

I've decided to go Rustoleum Industrial Pro in Tan Dune (or somesuch). Works out to be $300 for 1200sf ( I need 900). Will probably hit up AG for Integraflex since that is what I had intended to do with Epoxy-coat anyway.

GarageEnvy--

Out of curiousity, what did you pay for EC at Lowes and was it for the full or half kits?

Thanks,
Ron

They're $169 for the full kit like everywhere else. However, if you go to the post office and get a moving pack you can use the 10% off coupon making it $152. The kit has flakes but I bought a different color. It also does not include a top coat. I used the polyurea top coat which is more expensive than the epox kit per sf.

Well there might be one more chance. I'm going skiing at Dodge Ridge sometime next week, I think Fresno is a stone's throw as I recall?

I was in the Lowes/Fresno on North Blackstone on the Jan 4th and they had 3 kits. GTOGreg we were just at Magnussen's Lexus and could have brought the kits to you.

I happened to be in Lowe's today and noticed the Epoxy-Coat was now priced at $153....and it has moved up a shelf. Better price and placement.
