Hey guys,
New here but I am wanting to coat my garage floor. It's a new home we built in March of 2012. It's pretty clean and somewhat smooth. I'm in Vegas so not a lot of humidity (pretty much none) and I am seeing 65-75degree days right now. The plan is to get it done soon. The garage does face south but I keep the door closed unless I'm in there working.
I want something high gloss, maybe metallic in it, thick, and can be able to handle jack, jack stands and being worked on and beat on but I want it nice looking. I was thinking of not using any flake. I like the high gloss look but need it durable. It would be nice to slide around easier when under my car.
It's my 2 car garage at home and is 400sq/ft (391 to be exact). From what I have read I need a primer, base-coat then top coat. Also read something about needing to use 100% solids. Also understand it has a shorter pot-life. Not too concerned about budget. More interested in quality. With everything mentioned can someone recommend me a brand and or tips tricks.
I'll need some of the tools too like spike shoes, squeegee etc.
And pics of the queen that gets worked on just because.... well everyone likes pics right?
