Epsteins

To say thank you for all that you guys do, no matter how big or small of an order, Epstein's is going to throw in one of these vintage Lufkin USA tape measures. Measures in both fractional and metric.

WRIGHT TOOL

Wright let us design some awesome custom Epstein's Day 2016 t-shirts. They are US made, printed here locally and come in Medium to XXXL. You can qualify for a t-shirt if you buy $100 of Wright stuff. We printed about 100 shirts, so...while supplies last.

Yeah, Fedwrench, I've been wondering the same thing. I keep watching the "sticky" at the top of this page, but haven't seen and indication that anything is being planned.

Was the event last year only on SK or was it on everything HJE sells? I wouldn't mind picking up some Wright, if available.

Both! There was a July 4th day and an SK day in the fall.

Definitely a few things I need to pick up from HJE soon, so I'd be down.

I've been talking to both Wright and SK Tool and am still figuring out some good specials if you guys decide to have one this year. Typically it was Bull who made the sticky thread, but haven't heard from him in awhile.

Bull has been on an extended sabbatical for personal reasons. It would be great to hear from him again.

I've been hoping that one of the moderators would fill the void, but I understand how big a job that would be. There have been several conversations over the last year about using the GJ name to do an event, with individual members offering to lead. But after being reminded that that can't happen without Moderator's approval (by me, I admit), the conversation quickly dies.

The Epstein's event is different though. This is HJE making an offer to the membership, rather than GJ putting an event together. I'm looking forward to participating in HJE's event again this year. I don't know what I'll be buying yet, but I always find something. :bounce:

Alright Jori, I got teased by Facebook today and I now need every single one of these:

To frame for posterity. Plus, you know, a set or two to use.

I'm looking to pick up a SK Metric X Frame Ratcheting wrench set and some Wright stuff still undecided.

I've been chipping away at my SK/HJE list for over a year now. Just got a $400 order from them but I'm ready for another order. There is light at the end of the tunnel. However, I'm guessing as soon as I complete this list, I'll be starting another. Oh well.

I had the pleasure (and not enough time) to go through the store last year as I passed through Kansas City.

Yes we need Epstein day!

Already got some items picked out for my order! Time to replace those cheap Northern Industrial impact extensions and adapters with some nice SK!

Of course the list will probably grow 3-4x what it is now by the time we actually get to July 4th!

The less time you have to be there, the lighter your wallet will be when you run out. Lol! I mean...dragged out by your wife...

I'm waiting patiently for Wright/SK day. I'm also trying to get to my employer's Kansas City facility, so I can visit HJE's location in person. too much money burning a hole in my pocket

I'm gonna start cooking me up a list here before long. I don't NEED anything since I don't have my shop anymore but I love Epstein's day and especially USA made tools.

Someone please step up and organize this event...

I'm definitely interested in joining again this year!

As a thought, I'd recommend not making this thread a sticky; Since most people overlook the Stickys at the top, whereas a thread moving up and down the pages will generate more attention / exposure.

It shouldn't be hard to do. I mean interested people can post their interest in this thread. Epstein's could see what they can put together in the way of new tools, swag, a deal or two, etc. and gauge the number of those interested from this thread.

For the new people though, Epstein Day was never about bargains for the participants. It was about buying US made stuff from a small business that sold US made tools. I think last year Epstein Day morphed into the last week of June to facilitate timely order processing, keep their server from crashing, and to let people enjoy the Independence Day Holiday.:dunno:
