Saving my pennies in anticipation!
There were no drawings on my box, is that a random happening or only if you spend $100+? Also shipping was expensive.
Dave, if you decide to order from HJE again, you need to request the box art!! No dollar amount is required.
Hey Everyone..... can you let us know what you are getting or what looks like particularly good values at Epsteins? Their website isn't the easiest to browse I have found. I would love to put in an order, but don't know where to even begin (there is nothing in particular that I need, but love to give them an order to get good quality tools and support their business).
Is it strange that I kind of want to buy a geiger counter?

I can't believe that they are only $27.
That is a pretty good deal (even with the $ to get them calibrated), I paid ~$400 for a different brand of geiger counter before my trip to Chernobyl.
Not that I have a need for 2 geiger counters but I might get another one just for the heck of it.

They have a lot of good stuff. Which Wright ratchet is a good one to get? In 3/8".
I wish Epstein's was closer, placed my order on a Sunday and it did not ship until Tuesday. There were no drawings on my box, is that a random happening or only if you spend $100+? Also shipping was expensive.
All that being said I am happy with the tools I purchased. Just wish Epsteins was closer so I could go there instead of dealing with the hassle of shipping.
Have them order it for you. What about the 3490? I don't see it listed. That was what I was hoping to pickup.
We are working on what we will do this year. We've been talking to various manufacturers, and are still figuring it out. It won't be the same as last year as we like to mix it up a bit. Regardless, there will be something special.
Thanks again for all your support.

Awww, you just had to point out something cool like that? Did some reading on the calibration site for fun. They say about 65% of the surplus meters they see are functional enough to be calibrated without repair work, and for the model Epsteins has it's $92 for calibration.

I hate you guys. There are some tools I actually NEED and all I can think about is a damn Geiger counter.
Those are definitely neat. I carried one of those (CDV 717) & a CDV700 as a radiological monitor for the County in the 80s-90s. If you notice it reads "r/hr".
500 r in 5 hrs is lethal. Normal is 23 microroentgens/hr.
I sincerely hope you never get a reading on that meter.![]()

Does anyone have any experience with the machinist squares they just put up ? Made in India, so my ABC (Anywhere But China) policy allows me to buy them. Good enough for woodworking ?
Talking about these:
squares
Specifically the six inch.
