1. $10 grinders - will not die. Got a couple.
2. Orange dead blow hammers
3. $10 right angle air grinder. Loud but works great.

Would have to be the cement mixer I picked up a couple of weeks ago. At least my back would say that is it's favorite harbor freight tool.

I use the 1/2'' drive breaker bar quite a bit. Even with a 3' jack handle on it, never had any problems. And if I do break it I can get another for 10$. At the rate I break tools a snappy would never pay off. But I would prefer a snap-on :-/.

I am careful to only buy HF things that are recommended by GJ consensus.

So it is hard to pick a favorite. Everything is great!

If pressed, I would say the 41" roller is the best thing I purchased.

But breaker bars, die grinders, jack stands, creeper, stool, service cart, ratchets, etc. have all served well.

Mine is the orange dead blow hammers, mini sledge hammer, and the brick chisels. Those helped out a lot this summer doing retaining walls and other landscape projects.

I have a lot of favorites, but my favorite has become their extendable ratchet, it has a green & black handle. The extendable part is pretty cool, I can break bolts loose without grabbing the breaker bar. The extendable action could use a little refinement but it hasn't broken on me yet. The best thing is the 72 tooth gearing, it feels a lot like a $90 snap-on ratchet.

Blue & black mechanic gloves, the green & black gloves are nice for added grip.
5 drawer service cart, nut drivers, allen wrenches, automatic center punch, & 3/8" air ratchet.

I also like those 3 1/2 mini flashlights, 27 LED portable flashlight, & Magnetic parts dish/trays.

Clearly we all have different standards as I thought the extendable ratchet was the worst contraption ever. You are talking about the rattchet with 3/8" AND 1/4"?

I also don't like the green/gray/orange screwdrivers but those seem to be a hit.

My favorites are:

1. Deadblows
2. 24" breaker bar
3. Orange (now red) grinders - they are good for stripper discs, sand paper discs, and thin cut off wheels but **** with a thick grinding wheel.

Yep, read the reviews. My friend has the Snap On equivalent and I swear they are the same. He paid roughly $100 for his and I paid twelve.I bought all three sizes. The 3/8 is pretty damn good. Not sure about the 1/2, as I haven't used it yet. The 1/4 is the shiat though. great ratchet, with great movement. It is now my go to ratchet, and I have a ton of truck ratchets. BTW, it will come in green, not red.

I have the 3/8. It is pretty decent. My only complaints are that the ratcheting mechanism is somewhat tight and you can't take the head apart to do anything about it.

Thanks guys, I might try to get one.
genevabuck,l'm like you, l got a million ratchets, ~1/2 truck,1/2 other.
I still have the old style Proto, (1/4" drive) about 37 years old by now.
My HF is a good distance away,So to drive there, I loose $$$$$.
Maybe if I order other things, the $6.99 shipping is more worth it then.
fourtythree, maybe try another one at the store, and warranty it if it's better.

Lol, what didn't you like about it? I definitely agree the extendable action could be smoother, but once its locked in either position, I like it. I don't care much for the 1/4" drive on the back, I forget its even there until its stopping the ratchet head from fitting in a tight spot. Also don't care for the plastic handle, just because I am used to a metal handle. I don't no why, but I find myself reaching for this ratchet first lately.

Agree with you on this. It is my go to 1/2" drive ratchet.

Another vote for the impact sockets also.

555 pc cotter pin set. Had them sitting around for several years and finally opened the packet yesterday and used one to fix my garage door opener.

My favorite is the flame thrower/weed burner, after that it's a tough one. Great for lighting charcoal, scaring the neighbors, preheating metal, cheap rosebud alternative, melting stuff, and of course burning weeds

The ceramic knives are great for gifts, the jacks, the cheap sockets and wrenches are my most often used tools, black neoprene gloves, vice grips.... okay I can't pick a second or third this is to hard, and I can go on for a while.

Great thread. My favorite is probably the 12" sliding compound miter saw I grabbed for $109 a few years back. Still working fine.
