Didn't see a post on this when I did a search but what is your favorite EDC (everyday carry) knife? Post a pic for those of us who do not want to search the internet for the one you post, and why do you like it the best?

My favorite knife although most would consider it a little heavy for a daily carry is a buck/tops csar. I carry it in a sheath on my belt, it also has a hex in the handle to use as a bit driver. Some would also consider the handle hard on the hands but it would never slip out of your hand.

Benchmade Mini griptilian model 556.

154CM blade steel stays SHARP a long time, and relatively easy to sharpen if you touch it up every few weeks. Width is less than a lot of other EDC knives, so it fits in the pocket nice. I love the axis lock. supposedly one of the strongest out there.

Doug Ritter worked with Benchmade to create the RSK Mk1 and mini-RSK Mk1 Utility/Survival knives. The mini is nice for the office so that you don't freak out your co-workers that don't understand a knife is just a tool. CPM S30V steel, Noryl GTX handle, wide drop point blade shape with a high flatgrind edge. A little pricey for EDC (at least for me), but I love these knives.

I have carried this same style of Knife for over 15 years now. I have gone through a few of them but I also throw them. No they are not made for throwing. It is just entertainment for the most part. I have 2 of them BNIB on the shelf to tide me over as they stopped manufacturing them.

Great Knife though. Smooth action, serrated lower Blade and they keep an edge for quite some time.

Kershaw Ken Onion Series. Was called the Bravo Tanto when I bought it, now the Blur. Knife has stayed sharp for 7 years with minimal maintenance. Grip tape like coating does great for wet/oily hands but it does tear up jeans and pants a little bit over time. Knife has yet to let me down.

I like my mini Grip a lot but lately I've been carrying my Griptilian.

The top one is for around the house. The bottom one is pretty much everywhere except courthouses and police stations. Our nazi state makes it nearly impossible to carry anything larger than a toothpick:lol_hitti

BM 950 Rift. Plain ole' Axis lock (as I prefer) along with unmilled stainless liners gives it a great heft (that I also love. I have a few lighter knives as well for EDC). The reverse tanto, while just for looks really, has a wonderful sweep in the blade that really makes it a beauty in my eyes.

Just wished someone hadn't stole the thing!

Ka-Bar TDI has been my EDC for a few years now. Several of my friends liked the knife so much that they ended up with it.

Its a good solid blade, made from carbon steel and not stainless, yet it doesn't rust. I ride a motorcycle daily and my blade is often exposed to the elements and has yet to show any signs of rust. Its easily concealable and best of all its a fixed blade. While everyone has their own opinions on what is necessary, I want a knife that can be deployed as quickly as possible. In the off chance I do need to use it in defense, every second counts. Mine is the serrated blade FYI.

Mostly a Kershaw Leek. Sometimes I'll carry my old Boker. Love that knife but it's kinda bulky for EDC.

Snap-on branded Kershaw Leek is my EDC. I've got 2 other leeks that were both given to me as gifts so I do not carry them. Plus I have half a dozen Leatherman tools and various other knives.

I have been carrying this CRKT (Columbia River Knife & Tool) Operation Iraqi Freedom knife purchased on base in Iraq for a number of years.

Last Christmas my son gave me the exact same style (without the Operation Iraqi Freedom etching) but in black.

So on Dress down days I have my old faithful with me, the rest of the time the nice Black CRKT is on my side.

EDIT
This picture is the actual style with the lugs on both sides for quick blade opening.

Never realized they made the one above with just 1 lug till I looked closer at the picture after I posted.

Zero Tolerance 0301. Big, heavy, solid, works equally well gutting a deer, cutting stranded wire, or opening boxes. S30V takes a hell of an edge and holds it for a while, too.

I've been eyeing this one for a while. Looks a bit large for EDC, but I guess I'd get used to it.

Right now I carry a Benchmade 5000SBK. Not exactly small, but OK for EDC. It has held up well for years.

Thanks guys. Now I have to rummage around and pull out all those knives I bought years ago and see if I still like them. I used to carry a Spyderco, but I spend too much time in an office now.
