We use either Kwikset or Weiser for all the locks, as they use "smartkey" so you can key them all the same, for both the knob and dead bolt. This way we have one key to lock/unlock any of our locks as a backup.
I suggest you use a keypad lock 100%. If you purchase a keypad lock with Zwave or Zigbee tech and have a Smarthings hub, you can also program the lock to unlock with iphone presence. So basically unlock automatically lock and/or unlock based on a smartphone being present. In that case the keypad is your backup. With a smart hub (if that is a direction you want to go), you can also program the lock to engage automatically after closing the door (with any delay you want) etc., assuming you have a door sensor also in place.
Any keypad lock though would work fine. I would not bother with fingerprint anything on a door lock.
I have both smart and "dumb" keypad locks in our home, and they're pretty awesome. No one has used a key here in 3-4 years.
I recently purchased a complete door set:

This is a complete set (easy to manage with no sight) and is decent quality.
We also have used three of the Kwikset deabolts with zero issues:

I have not programmed any kind of presence logic..we just use the keypads.
