Hey Everyone,
I have been browsing these forums for a while gathering quite the inspiration and ideas! I am a first time homeowner and while working outside got old real quick, I made sure this home came with some type of shelter to work in! Im an avid auto enthusiast and the family mechanic, (the whole family)
.
Now that the remodeling in the house is winding down (sort of) im starting to concentrate on our mudroom and garage. Mudroom is approx. an 9' x 10' area and the garage is a single stall 12' x 24' cement block walled.
First things first is to insulate the garage/mudroom and add an electrical sub panel. I've looked into rigid foam board and then sheet rock, although im having an energy audit done on the house and may have them foam fill everything. Look forward to everyones input and feedback.
From Outside Mudroom and Garage
Inside Cluttered 8x10 Mudroom, Notice the window on the left behind the ladder. Seems that the mudroom and garage were added later as an addition. Pretty cool since its a straight through into the kitchen, like a drive through when i want a beer or food when the fiances cooking.
Mudroom originally had old drop ceiling tiles, those were removed along with the ferring strips going to build to beams across and cathedral the ceiling.
Inside the cluttered garage
Entrance to garage from inside the mudroom
Peak of the rear of garage, garage will be tight width wise so im going to be utilizing alot of the height.
A door used as shelving in the garage, PO wasted nothing lol
Opening goes straight through into the mudroom, this will obviously all be closed later.
The last of the old wires in this house, cant wait to pull them and run the new sub panel and eletrical. Plan is for the sub panel to run the mudroom and the garage circuits.

Going to be using this as the Main service in the house, then going to replace the small 6 position sub panel in the garage with the original house service box. Cant wait! Current box is wayyy too crammed.
The important thing is to upgrade the rods as its the weak point in these 1.8's. The stock 6 speed ****** holds plenty of power so you'll be good on that
.
Itll cleanup once I get this house done!
