Hadn't received mine, and never got the "we got hacked" email. Just checked my junk folder and found it. It's too late, it had expired. Bummer. I genuinely wanted one of these. If someone who actually got one doesn't need or want theirs, I'll pay shipping. If someone who got one loves it, let me know and maybe I'll just buy one.

I think you are missing my point. It's not about the free product at all. Honestly, I do not care if I receive my free push stick or not. I've made them out of wood in the past, and I can make them out of wood in the future. It's more about the company and the way this free offer has been handled.

I completely agree with this, I emailed the company and got a snarky email back. Won't be doing any business with them in the future!

Are you f'n kidding me? You sent a ****** email to company because you didn't get a freebie and you are surprised they sent one back?

Why don't you post both emails and let us read them?

For the record I didn't get mine either, but I don't see what the big deal is. It's a push sick. A push stick. You guys are **** hurt over a push stick. I own a few of their products. Good quality, and I'll buy some more especially after hearing they told you to pound sand

For the record, I'm not "**** hurt" I didn't get a free push stick. I'm annoyed that a bunch of people on Slick Deals who were "in for one" who have no idea what it's for or have never touched a table saw are adding one to their junk drawer. But such is life.

Yeah, when the company told everyone that if they provide their personal information they'll get a free item, and then after people provided their personal information the company told them to pound sand, that wasn't lying to potential customers or anything like that. I think you should buy more of their products, because many others won't and someone will obviously have to support the company or they'll end up going out of business.

I'm not expecting to get mine either...But I do think it reflects poorly on the company. NOT because I probably won't get my stick, but because companies should honor their commitments.

A real life comparison:

FastCap asks us to go sign up for their e-mail newsletter, and tells us they will send us a free 11th finger. Many of us sign up. A lot of us don't get the free 11th finger...we're all still on their mailing list and have shared our information with them. That's them not living up to their end of an agreement.

Drill Doctor accidentally has a coupon for huge $ off their top-of-the-line machine. The code gets out. They acknowledge it shouldn't have worked, but they fulfill all orders that were entered with that code anyway. They could've just as easily said, "Oops, sorry," and canceled the orders.

I guess what I'm saying is that how you deal with these things is VERY reflective of the service you'll get in the future with potentially larger issues.

I personally don't think anything that gets loose on slick deals needs to be honored. Hundreds of people saying they own a tablesaw when they don't even know what one looks like, just because it's free.
I got an email from fastcap too, but accidentally deleted it. I think it said shipping notice, but time will tell. I'm sure not mad at them about it if I don't get one.

I received mine today. It's pretty handy, I like the magnet base to keep it nearby. The lip is very shallow which really limits its usefulness to me. If the lip were closer to 1/2" it would feel a lot more stable in the cut.

What's a table saw? I thought this was an added pull handle for my refrigerator?

Didn't they shoot out another email explaining the situation to weed out possible scammers? Didn't that email give you a chance to confirm your order?

Also, people chose to give their information to this company in return for a push stick. The company made it possible to get one. People complained when they didn't see the second email. People complained about not receiving a free tool.

Conclusion: People complain about everything and anything.

It's a big bad world out there, get used to it.:bounce:

I got mine yesterday. I havent had a chance to use it yet, but it seems like a nice little tool. Like mentioned above, the lip could use to be bigger. Other than that though, I think it will work quite nicely. The magnetic base is a fantastic idea to keep it nearby.

I bought one a while back (before the promotion) and use it all the time. I think it's a good idea.

Fastcap has allot of useful clever tools. Their 2P10 adhesive is one of the best products in my shop. If you at all into wood working, check out their "glubot". It is a different take on a bottle for dispensing white glue and it is amazing.

I'm not affiliated with Fastcap, but before you write them off as evil, check out some of their products.

I saw the Glubot and Babe Glubot at Menards the other day. Didn't even realize it was a Fastcap product. If I did more woodworking I would have definetly picked one up.

Got in the first time, got the email saying they were "hacked", registered again, got confirmation email, never received anything. Well, almost, I keep receiving their promotions and everything else just fine, apparently the only thing that doesn't work is the free tool but their advertisements work just fine.

I entered when the deal first came up. Got a second email a week or two ago saying I had to enter my info again so I did. Still no stick yet.

Got mine. I didn't realize it is made in the USA. The cutout is really shallow, I may grind mine deeper after testing it.

Well then, why don't you send me your name, address, and email address? A GarageJournal PM would be fine.

I got my shipping notice the day after I unsubscribed from their emails.

Showed up a few days later. I'll use it the next time I use my dad's saw.
