you can see some history here...

lighting is all messed up cause of taking a pic of a light at night but I installed an 8 foot 2 tube florescent right next to the lift horizontally. man what a difference this makes

way in the back left you can see I installed an industrial ceiling fan from HD
and I moved one light fixture but a lot of it was covered if the garage door was open so...

today I moved it yet again...

I put this little sucker up and i finally have tunes again...

I figure out a way to get old race tires up off the ground...

and I hung up my Michelin sign to cover up the mess that is the loft area...

The next easy thing to do is get one of those halogn work lights on a stand.
It makes the bottom of a car look like it was upside down at noon.

Great idea - I ran flourescents along both walls at 6 feet. Definitely the most useful feature of my shop. I rarely have to use a trouble light or anything.

bought with the craftsman club discount so it [look here]came out to $199 from the regular $330
I wanted to make something like this but at this price I simply couldn't not buy this

I took the black shelves and put them in\on the loft and cleared up SO much floor space up there. I'll take pics of that next time. it was way too dark up there

the stuff on the old shelves that didn't go in the cabinet ended up like this and are now on the new over head shelves on the other side of the shop

until next time...

Where did you get this "helmet" rack? And what bike is the Power Commander for?
I saw that rack and wondered how long it will stay up there. Those little plastic button/caps that hold that system together don't hold much. It would be a shame to see all those helmets and the tunes on the floor.

I can't find the white ones on Target.com but I know they have them...

the power commander is for my GSXR "750"

as soon as the shop is done that bike is going to get a slightly bigger heart...

Dang, I was REALLY hoping you were going to say it was for a Honda 919 and that you had a Sato exhaust laying around that you didn't need. :) As you might surmise, I ride a Honda 919. :)

Oh, on the storage units, how are they holding up to the weight of the helmets and the tunes?

LMAO! Those are great all around street\corner carving bikes. I need something more like a 919. Sorry but I only have Yammi and Zukes in my stable. Sato is DROOL!

I have only had them up like that about a week. Maybe less. So far so good. If you had ONLY helmets I would have no concerns about the cube unit at all!

That's pretty much all I'll have on it is my helmets and miscellaneous gloves and other light gear. Just need something better than the craptastic shelf I built and it needs to go over the coat rack that I have to hang my jackets on.

I've only had my 919 for about 2 months now and I had a 99 Nighthawk 750 for a little over a year before that, but so far, for me the 919 is the PERFECT bike. At least until I can afford to get a Speed Triple. Talk about DROOL.
