With all that spray painting you do........I bet a drill powered paint can shaker would be just the ticket😇
Yeah, I know. . . that Mike guy . . . is definitely a bad influence.

I need to put it in my cart and the next time the wife orders something, blame it on her. . . "what the hell is this thing ?!?!"

Waiting for the paint to dry.

The paint is nothing fancy considering what it is and what it's for. I used the piece of cardboard to mask and shield the edges painting the black and green.

Other than assembling it back together, this project is pretty much done.

Eric, That came out very good. Should work well! Front mount snowblower next?Just asking.....
LoL, no snowblower for me... it'll be just the blade and/or bucket.

Using the bucket let's me put the snow in one spot and pile it up. Last Sunday after we came home from breakfast, I fired up the JD and cleared the snow. I scooped up the piles and hauled them down to the bank of the creek.

Once it melts it can run right in the creek and not across the driveway. I have to push snow to the east side of the driveway or it drifts back across the driveway. On the flip side, the driveway runs down hill to the west, so the run off comes back across it.

Looks really good -- I like the green and black paint layout.
Those reinforcements on the back look beefy enough to push some snow!
Thanks. The JDQA brackets were green and I wanted to keep it that way... The blade mount was black and wanted to it black too.

So, I thought to myself, "Self, let's just see how it turns out."

I'm happy.

I must say, those new springs have way more tension than the old one I took off.

I tried to use a rope and pull the spring up, which didn't work. A pry bar then a larger pry bar that worked after some blocking for leverage.
KIMG2405.JPG

You can see the old spring compared to the new spring in place.
KIMG2406.JPG
Since my longest pry bar is only about 25" long, I decided it was time to get a longer one. On order is a 45" Channellock version. It should be here in a week or so.

My plow springs are as tight as yours, but they came attached to 6" eyebolts. It makes installation a lot less painful -- just attach the springs with the bolts loose, and then tighten 'em up. You might consider adding them if you want to adjust spring tension -- looser for snow, tighter for dirt.

Good idea.

A few years back when I bought the JD 2032R, I needed a place to keep the grapple and bucket since this Deere was bigger than the Series 1 I already had.

I built a attachment dolley utilizing 2 HF mover's dolleys. This is what I built.

KIMG2403.JPG

I started out putting the grapple on top but soon realized it was way more than top heavy. The grapple flipped off twice, once breaking a hydraulic fitting. I finally started putting the grapple on the bottom.

As time goes on, things change. Yesterday, I tore it down to a basic dolley as the bucket stays on the Deere.

Back to a simplier design and it still fits under pallet racking bench.

I had to come back and look but I can't see it in your pics, does your plow have a pin to lock in for dirt moving? Mine does, but I don't know if all of them had it. It locks it solid so the springs don't trip.

There's a place to put a bolt through to keep it from flopping forward. Looking at the parts diagram, there should be a lever or something that goes through there.

This is not the same Rust-Oleum spray in bedliner I used before but what Menards had in stock. I thought just a new look but after the first pass....
KIMG2430.JPG

You can see how wet it was and it just ran down the sides. Bad enough to puddle underneath it.
KIMG2431.JPG

Doesn't matter now, it's on and drying.... I hope.
***** when the product changes. If it worked then why change it? Or maybe it's just a different product and you got the wrong can since it wasn't in stock?

Yeah, possibly... I generally buy it at Menards as it's several dollars cheaper than TSC.

I considered running to TSC today and seeing what they have in stock.

Rustoleom's truck bedliner and undercoating products are a tangled mess of duplicates and unnecessary similar-but-not-exact products. There are Professional and normal product lines, the undercoating has a rubberized and non rubberized version, and the truck bedliner is offered in several different cans with the same issues as the undercoating and I don't fully understand its differences yet. I just went through this with the undercoating (why I keep mentioning it) and the can I started with I was able to match for another, but when I needed a third, I thought I'd found a deal at another store, since it was only $7.99 instead of almost $14. But nope, it was a different product altogether. And if you aren't careful, you'll grab a can of undercoating instead of bedliner, or vice versa since they can look so similar.

The organizer looks good! Hopefully the bedliner stuff sticks to it for you.

Yeah, I noticed that too.... multiple products that look very similar. I almost grabbed the undercoating the other night too.

Here it is ready for installation.

KIMG2435.JPG

Like I mentioned, nothing fancy.
Mounting is one bolt on each side.

Drilled a small hole in the seat mount for a 1/4" bolt on the passenger side.
KIMG2436.JPG

Driver's side utilizes a factory bolt location but I needed a longer bolt.

Next little project.
Since I had cut some of the aluminum diamond plate off the full sheet, I had a few pieces left over. One of them was nearly perfect for what I was doing.

Some measuring, marking and drilling a few holes, and a trip to the brake, I had this.

KIMG2446.JPG

... and I realized, these were the first holes on the "new" drill press.

So I mentioned this about a week and a half ago. I got this Marine Corps recruiting poster repop from the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation.
KIMG2474.JPG

It's nothing fancy but I wanted to frame it and hang it in the garage.

I found the frame on Hobo Lobo website and doing so, I ran across a picture I wanted to check out. So the wife and I stopped by the local store and it was out of stock.

The wife found it after just telling her it was an Iwo Jima picture. She verified this was it and ordered it for me.

It came completely wrapped up with bubble wrap and packing paper. She said she had to change out the trash bag for the packing materials. A well done for Hobby Lobby shipping. Today I hung it up beside the other framed poster.

For those wanting to read what it says at the bottom, I hope you can read it.
