OP
Great news, hope you got some free time & the weather complies to put it in and get it all secure.
I have two tarps up, one in and one outside. The outside tarp will stay up while I install the door. The wood burner will be stoked up and I can plug in the space heater for additional heat if needed.
That wasn't a horrible wait. It wasn't good, but better than some. And you've got decent weather right now. Congrats.
It was plenty long enough but the door company is in a bind too.
Door time!
Yes sir, after working a 48 it will be.
So what happened yesterday is that I went to the door company before they called. I pulled into the parking lot, 2 trucks and it looked empty. I see a sign on the door, and it said they were quarantining and had a number to call.
I call and talk to the owner. He's running the office and his brother is running service calls. He calls me back and says the door is here so I pulled around and loaded it up.
Talking to him they are so far behind and says they have a few semi loads of doors in limbo. They had one customer trying to sell a house but needed a door so they got one from and order (with permission from that owner) to install so that guy could sell his house.
In talking to him, I think he thought my door was an install for them and just backed up. It may have been sitting there for a few weeks, doesn't matter now, I have it. Just waiting on the replaced panel for one of the other doors to come in.
