How much was the JD version of the tie down? I know they seem to have proprietary prices for their parts.
How many EMS transport units did the city put in service? And most importantly did they increase staffing for the new units?
Our biggest issues are the wait times at hospitals since they are running short staffed also and can’t monitor enough beds in the ER.
Lastly, are the transport units BLS or ALS staffed?
Funding will always go into EMS functions.
1. This is the link I saw and was going to be my first thought of trying to copy. $50 too rich for my blood.

2. We were running back to the private service. We have a 2010 International med duty as back up to a 2020 Ford F550. We should be taking delivery of a second Ford F550 in the next month or so.
3. Didn't increase staffing per ems rig, we run two per unit. But they did increase department staffing. We are trying to get a couple of more guys hired to have 18+chief. This will give us 6/shift.
4. ED locally is a 9 bed unit plus Trauma A and B. Sometimes they are slow, other times busy. Yesterday, they were slammed with all rooms full. Their biggest problem now is getting people out of the ED. Since the private left town, there is no provider to take certain patients home. We're not doing that, we are handling the emergency/911 calls.
5. ALS staffed. 1st out squad, 2nd out squad both ALS. Depending who is working right now, the Engine is third out or back up. It may or may not be a Medic Engine. If we get slammed, we are partnered up one of the volunteer departments to bring their squad in, however, it's not much more than a transport unit. The volunteer has a few Medics, a few Basics and the rest are pretty much EMR.
6. Funding, always been a talking point or argument here. City Administration has always felt that Tree City USA, parks/dog parks, bike paths and an Arch over main street are priorities or city services. But enough of that talk.
