I had to drain ~18 gallons of gas from my truck a couple weeks ago so I could replace the tank. Went to Home Cheapo and picked up four 5 gallon cans. To refill the new tank, they vented ok. BUT! It took me about 30 minutes to figure out that the collar on the can's neck was a sliding collar that operated a valve. No gas comes out until the collar slides back!
With respect to crazy California laws; I read a few years back that charcoal grilles were to be outlawed, and from some point forward (2008 I think), only gas grilles would be allowed. Is this true? If so, I would never live in Cali for that reason alone.
Also, if that's true, are other types of open pit fires outlawed? i.e. campfires, bonfires, etc?
